I love using reason to create new projects but I hate the sound quality. i have to EQ the sounds too much and it takes a lot of it to get a good mix. In the other DAWs (Logic Pro, fruity loops, protools) the sounds are richer and closer to what we hear in hip hop productions today. I also have a problem getting Reason to give me that warm low end bass and kick drum that is used so much these days in hip hop production. Can you guys post a couple of demo packs so that the consumer knows what they are purchasing. I’ve purchased a ton of sound kits for Reason and they were just okay. Nothing that would WOW me. Most users that produce hip hop instrumentals love the sounds of the Refx Nexus plugin and the Hypersonic Plugins(Steinberg). The quality of the sounds are phenominal unlike the dry depressing sounds in reason. Reason is by far the most user friendly and most efficient DAW but has the worst sound Quality. When the master how to enrich the sound quality that will eliminate too much reverb usage and equing, it might becong the industry standard for music production. The concept is astronomical. It’s truly a virtual studio. Every element that exist in a physical studio is right at your fingertips. From rewiring all modules to the mixer just as you would like to the virtual kong (just like using the MPC series).
Hope to hear from you soon. Im exicited someone decided to make a refill for reason with richer thicker sounds that you would actually hear coming through hardware. But I’ll believe it when I hear it.
