DIAMOND VERSION (Slices Feature)
For a long time now, Raster-Noton label founders Carsten Nicolai aka Alva Noto and Olaf Bender aka Byetone have both been on everyone’s radar as solo artists. Now together as Diamond Version the two have created an audiovisual Gesamtkunstwerk which suggests industrial associations while disregarding familiar boundaries. It should come as no surprise then that Daniel Miller’s Mute Records signed Diamond Version.
The live side of things plays a central role for the act, resulting among other things in an opening spot for the duo supporting Depeche Mode for several concerts on their Delta Machine tour. EB.TV visited Nicolai and Bender in Berlin for a Slices feature.
