I guess it not an overstatement to say that the average synth geek is a man. But obviously there are women with a passion for synthesizers. E.g Cynthia Webster, synthesist and designer behind Cyndustries, a company that makes modular analog synthesizers. Read the in-deep Synthopia interview from 2006.
