Klevgränd Produktion has released Korvpressor, an adaptive compressor / limiter designed to be transparent and very easy to use. It comes in three versions:

Klevgränd say they put a lot of effort in to making their interfaces minimal and simple. Instead of just removing elements from the current standard, it can sometimes be necessary to rethink the whole concept from the ground. Korvpressor is an example of that, as it has a unique way of visualizing and interacting with a dynamic compressor. The idea is to make the audio feel more “physical”, something to grab and shape with your finger (or cursor, if on a desktop).

Despite its simple interface, Korvpressor has a sophisticated set of algorithms, developed together with engineers from KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) in Stockholm. The compression algorithm was designed with transparency in mind, and Korvpressor will sound great on almost any kind of sound; all from a vocal track to a full blown mix. If you push it even harder, it gives a nice squeezing effect.

Until June 30, 2015, there’s a intro price on all versions:

  • AU/VST: $19.99 ($39.99 July 1st).
  • iPad: $4.99 ($7.99 July 1st).
