Time to get a sneak peak at the Hokusai audio tool

This is a quick preview of our Hokusai audio tool in action on the iPad.  First we import a field recording (made earlier using Hokusai on iPhone, and transferred to the iPad via Dropbox).

I trim out my favourite takes, then combine them together using multiple tracks and the “hands-on editing” feature, where, instead of cutting and pasting, you simply “lift” your audio up off the track and slide it into place.

Mixing the tracks back down, I apply a series of special effects, then export the result as an MPEG 4 Audio file to Dropbox, and it appears automatically on my desktop computer a few seconds later.
