Episode 32 MidiBox SID vs MonoMachine

Sometimes you have to take a break from this modular stuff and go back to your roots, even cheat on analog! The sound of 8-bit has been forever imprinted in my mind since my childhood and I absolutely love the SID chip of the old C64 computer. So much so that I actually traded my x0xbox and beloved old TR606 drum machine for the remarkable device that is the MidiBox SID. I got some cash in the deal too so I wasn’t totally ripped off So I posted a few patches I found interesting in it and this guy spotted my MonoMachine that sports a SID emulator among all it’s other feats. He wanted me to put them up against each other. I love a challenge so I did, here’s the result. And for props, the original video follows.
