Eurovision Song Contest – Melodifestivalen

For those of you living in Sweden, you probably haven´t been able to miss the swedish nomination for the Euorpean Song Contest (the call for entries closed a couple of weeks ago). I must say that given that there are 3200 entries (some record in entries again I think) for the contest and that 32 will be selected for the finals – I can bet my hat that this long haired dude Thomas G:son will most likely score his usual with another 8 out of 32 entries (just look at last years finals) – does this mean that he is out competing the gross part of all of new talented composers in all of Sweden. Personally I think this competition sucks, if only the “elite” (wow and what an elite it is, ) is able to enter why make it an open competition in the first place (not to forget this horrible lyrics writer “Pling” Forssman, who also seems to have struck a good deal with “Music Sweden”). Make sure to make this a true competition this year.
