Novation Launchpad tutorial

Rupert Brown explains the basics of working with the Novation Launchpad and how the basic modes work.

I have just received a Launchpad from the good people at Novation and I am really enjoying it so far. I have already done a first impressions review comparing the Launchpad vs APC40 so I thought a tutorial might be more interesting. So in this episode I am going to cover the basics of how the different modes work. Comment if you want to see more Launchpad tutorials and I might dig in deeper!

    I’m asking, would you please dig deeper into the launchpad’s functions please. I.e. explain some uses for producers vs live performers and how to customize the launchpad in mixer mode and in session mode. I ask for these because I was under the impression that the launch pad could allow you to mix 8 tracks at a time and I wasthinking I could take 6 launchpads and use them together to mix a total of 48 tracks at time, making it a powerful daw mixer.

    AFAIK you can daisy chain 6 Launchpads. What you then can do I’m not really sure. To be sure you’ll be able to do just exactly what you want i suggest you jump over to the Launchpad forum at Novation. http://www.novation-launchpad.com/forum/
