Hi Mom! by Earmonkey – Moog Mother 32, Werkstatt, Microbrute – Roland Space Echo
Got the Mother 32 in today. The possibilities are obviously extraordinary with this little beauty. It makes a great MIDI to CV converter. I used my Ensoniq EPS16+ to control both M32 and the Werkstatt. The Microbrute is playing a throbbing one note sequence.
Here are the connections:
EPS 16+ MIDI OUT to M32 MIDI IN
M32 KB to Werkstatt VCO EXP FM IN
M32 GATE to Werkstatt GATE OUT (also doubles as an IN)
Werkstatt LFO OUT to M32 LFO RATE IN
What this does is gives me two oscillators controlled by the EPS16+. The Mother is set to a SAW and the Werkstatt is set to a PULSE with PWM being modulated by its own LFO set to a TRI. The Werkstatt LFO is then modulating the rate of the M32 LFO which is set to SQ and is modulating its own VCF. This way the rate of the square LFO is constantly changing and giving movement.
The whole damn thing is running through the Roland Space Chorus Tape Delay RE-301 and it’s just beautiful.

So, im currently preparing for a live gig, a fund raiser charity event together with my friends here in KL 23/8… I took the opportunity to record when im jamming/prepping with my new Roland TB-3, sort of making it the focal bassline in this track. Man its really hard to blend the basslines together with the Volca bass, not using a EQ on either one of the bass synths, haha. 
Not much to say about this one, its 126 bpm, techno style, 4 on the floor with some classic BURG vibes As always, LIVE and no multitracking or computers involved.. pure hardware straight into 2-track (zoom Q4) BoOoM!

In The Mode – Beatstep Pro, Moog Werkstatt, System 1m, Mopho, Microbrute, Electribe EMX1
Today’s musical journey has lots of noise in it. Drums from the EMX1, Beatstep Pro sequencing a Mode-esque bass line on the Mopho. Drone from the Werkstatt, and some funky leads and noises from the System 1m and Microbrute. It is what it is. All the System 1m effects are coming only from that unit. The Werktstatt and Microbrute are going through the Roland RE-301 Space Chorus.

Roland Boutique JU-06 ‘Sparkly Lead/Pad’ with Roland Aira System 1, Korg EMX2

A quick video demonstrating a tweaked pad/lead sound I’ve called ‘Sparkly Lead/Pad’ [there is a little delay on the JU-06 from the mixer]
There are lots of video’s showing some of the sounds of the JU-06 but many of them highlight the basses of which this machine was fondly remembered for – but I remember the pads in particular, they were always my favourite.
I used to have a Roland Juno 106 [1988-1992] and lost it to a seedy bunch who were employees of a music store in Newcastle Upon Tyne called ‘Rock City’ the store went bust while they were in possession of my Juno 106 and other synths, [a Roland SH101 being another] because the store was closing down [unkown to me] they thought it was ok to steal customers property, which they did.
