Essence of Mind releases debut album

Norwegian EBM duo Essence of Mind will release its debut album, Insurrection, May 9 on Alfa Matrix. Insurrection will be available in a regular edition and a limited edition, featuring a bonus CD with remixes by artists such as Implant, Diskonnekted and Diffuzion. Both versions are available for pre-order from the Alfa Matrix Web site.

This new and young Norwegian band sounds like the new Icon Of Coil. There’s a similar sound based on strong EBM bass lines merged with technoid arrangements and powerful male vocals. The songs on the album are well-crafted dancefloor pieces marked by a huge maturity in the song writing and sound production. The opening song “Piss artist” is pure sensation! Since Icon Of coil has been lost in numerous side-projects of their members, the fans will find a real relief by discovering EOM!
