VST Expression allows seamless, transparent and most importantly integrated editing of articulations, with full control over multiple articulations in the Key and Score Editors. Articulations noted in the Score Editor can be played back immediately by sample-based orchestra libraries — in real time.
Connection test
Another small demo on how to do efficient work when using Resolume in combination with Ableton and Arduino
Connection Test Resolume + Ableton + Arduino.
Ableton sends MIDI messages to Resolume to sequence some video loops, as well as to synchronize BPM scale of another video.
Meanwhile, Arduino (with help from Midi Yoke and S2Midi and one LDR) sent other MIDI messages through another channel to control the volume of a track in Ableton and the speed and opacity of two loops in Resolume.
Demo of Livewire Vulcan
Demo of a mod done to the Livewire Vulcan to allow independent reset of the two LFOs. To the right of the Vulcan you can see a 4HP panel with the two jacks mounted, behind this is a circuit board designed to interface to the Vulcan and process incoming triggers. Jack1 is normalled to Jack 2 so that one cable can trigger both resets. Modules used: MFB SEQ-01 (provides the triggers) Livewire AFG (single oscillator that is being modulated) QMMG (not doing anything until the later parts where I modulate its in LPG mode) Doepfer VCA (just being used as an attenuator) The SEQ-01 could be replaced by any source of rhythmic triggers including gates from your midi to cv converter. The demo starts with no sync and simple modulation and then I start to patch more complex triggers and cross mod. Sorry for the poor quality! I forgot to turn on the camera light…. future videos will be better

Lack of a proper Pro 12 demo
An analog versus a digital voice test of the Sequential Prophet 5 (rev 3) synthesizer (1978):
– L channel = Sequential Pro One synth (1981)
– R channel = Creamware Pro 12 synth module (2006), in single voice mode

Mostly focusing on basic sonic quality, not features. Envelopes and filter levels were matched to eachother by ear (the number settings differ). Pro 12 was played with EMU Xboard 61. No added fx or EQ. Both were recorded through the same mixer and soundcard.

To my ears, the Pro 12 held up surprisingly well in this test against a famous analog bass synth. Main sonic differences were in the filter and pulse width range. I would say the basic sound
In a polyphony test, against a real Prophet 5, this difference may be larger, as the oscillators will be summed. But if you play the Pro 12 in two voice unison with a slight detuning, you still got six phat voices and won’t be far off
