ELECTRI_CITY Conference, a 3-day event which takes place in Düsseldorf (Germany) from 29. to 31. October 2015.
The agenda of the 3-day event is divided in 2 parts: The academic symposium and the cultural conference.
The academic symposium will be organized by SSC/New Fall Festival and takes place on Thursday and Friday morning at the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf. The curators of this scientific colloquium are Dr. Uwe Schütte (AstonUniversity, Birmingham) and Dr. Enno Stahl (Heinrich-Heine-Institut, Düsseldorf).
You can expect lectures, discussions, concerts and Dj-Gigs. The following guests have confirmed their attendance: Andy McCluskey (OMD), Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), Daniel Miller (Mute Rec.). Performing next to Metroland will be Heaven 17, cofounder Michael Rother, as well as Sascha Ring with his project Apparat, BAR, and so on.

Our design team went on a mission to create a serious collection of classic bass sounds used in electronic music over the last few decades. Knowing that these rare synths are out of reach to many people due to cost and availability, this pack can be an essential tool for anyone looking to capture the real vintage analog bass sounds used in classic traxx.
This serious studio weapon delivers 20 bass instruments meticulously recorded in 24 bit Wav audio, each sound has been tweaked and key grouped for ease of use while using our bass sounds. We also tossed in the Midi files from the demo so you can easily use the baselines in the demo with no fuss.

Fluffy Audio has released TimeDrops, a granular time manipulation tool for Kontakt 5, featuring sample import and an extensive of sound sources and presets.
TimeDrops implements an advanced time granular engine which allows to freeze the time of any sample, creating pads and soundscapes out of any kind of material.
It also features a custom scripted ADSR, time synced LFO and an advanced mapping system for creating complex organic textures and many different playing modes to reinterpret the material of the sample in lots of different ways.
The idea of this instrument is to take something beautiful and transform into something else with the proper tools keeping the maximum sound quality possible. For this reason, despite its apparent simplicity, it implements many under the hood adjustments like per-grain custom windows, anti-phasing techniques and synchronized time/rate/densities between the grains. Granular synthesis is actually awesome when you can’t actually distinguish between the single grains and the whole result appears like a new designed sound.
For this reason, the library will feature a very simple way to import your own samples, and you can create your personal library of TimeDropped sounds!
