Intellijel μscale – quantized symmetry

February 12, 2011 · Posted in Uncategorized · Comments Off on Intellijel μscale – quantized symmetry

The μscale module is a cv quantizer and musical interval generator. In this simple patch I am using four VCO’s. Cwejman VCO-2RM, VM-1,harvestman piston honda, and hertz donut. Everything is being CV sequenced by the output of the μscale. Clocked from one mini ELF LFO to a Doepfer 160, 161 then out to a-151 quad sequential switch controlling the MakeNoise Brains, and two pressure points doing long slow sequences back into the CV and Shift input on the Intellijel μscale. The drums are coming from the cwejman BLD and NS-04 for the white noise snare, and high hats. Effects used TipTop Z5000, Z-DSP, and Doepfer A-187

Audio-visual interpretation of ones life

February 12, 2011 · Posted in Uncategorized · Comments Off on Audio-visual interpretation of ones life

Introspectre is a simplistic audio-visual interpretation of ones life, with all its ups and downs and unpredictable or uncotrolable events, where every dot represents a memory, a path or a choice that surcomes us each and every moment of our being, which ultimately defines us, and makes us who we are and will be. Deciding our fate exactly as it is from infinite possibilities which will eventually lead us to nothing more than one specific ending.

Video was intended to provoke a relaxed retrospective of ones memories and induce a peacefull state of mind.

Wearable instrument

February 10, 2011 · Posted in Uncategorized · Comments Off on Wearable instrument

Di Mainstone in her latest work “Serendiptichord” creates a wearable instrument that not only functions as a metaphorical extension of the performer but as a physical and architectural extension of the body itself.

Mainstone’s wearable instruments look like detachable organs that reshape the body’s silhouette and redefine its limits. As with Di Mainstone’s previous work, the instrument’s form is quite provokative and unconventional, drawing inspiration more from architecture and fashion than from traditional musical instrument design.

The instrument, constructed from unconventional “soft” materials, is played by the performer through touch and movement.

Mood Cube Quad Nand Synth

The 4093 is 4 cascaded oscillators. It has a voltage starve dial with an LDR in parrallel so the LEDs of the mood cube will modulate the oscillations. I didn’t expect when I first made the circuit that the mood cube LED circuit would affect the 4093, but it does. I added a voltage starve to the LEDs and a cycle rate dial.
