Time for some serious Buchla Thunder

16 improvisations using the Buchla Thunder MIDI-Controller on two Vermona PerFourMers. In the sixth piece (from 7:01) the Thunder plays seven internal sequences (“riffs”) I had recorded beforehand. They can be scaled in real time, which I didn’t do here though.
Live modular synth performance with GusGus
GusGus live at the opening ceremony of the Reykjavik Concert Hall “Harpa”, may 13th 2011.
Guest appearance by Högni Egilsson of Icelandic pop group Hjaltalín.
Both songs (Within You and Over) are featured on GusGus album “Arabian Horse”, released in 2011.

Klaus Schulze performs “Rheingold” live
Pioneer Klaus Schulze is soon to release a DVD and this clip is a teaser for you to enjoy. Klaus Schulze is a German electronic music composer and musician. He also used the alias Richard Wahnfried. He was briefly a member of the electronic bands Tangerine Dream and Ash Ra Tempel before launching a solo career consisting of more than 60 albums lasting five decades.

MashTactic is a plug-in that can separate various parts of a full audio mix. Many sounds, include vocals can be cut or isolated from a track.
* A great tool for mashup music makers.
* Can be used as a sharp cut-off filter, as demonstration in this video.

Theremin jam
The theremin, originally known as the aetherphone/etherophone, thereminophone or termenvox/thereminvox is an early electronic musical instrument controlled without discernible physical contact from the player. It is named after its Russian inventor, Professor Léon Theremin, who patented the device in 1928. The controlling section usually consists of two metal antennas which sense the position of the player’s hands and control oscillators for frequency with one hand, and amplitude (volume) with the other, so it can be played without being touched. The electric signals from the theremin are amplified and sent to a loudspeaker.
The theremin is associated with a very eerie sound, which has led to its use in movie soundtracks such as Miklos Rozsa’s for Spellbound and The Lost Weekend and Bernard Herrmann’s for The Day the Earth Stood Still and as the theme tune for the ITV drama Midsomer Murders. Theremins are also used in concert music (especially avant-garde and 20th- and 21st-century new music) and in popular music genres such as rock. Psychedelic rock bands in particular, such as Hawkwind, have often used the theremin in their work.

Stone Temple Pilots, often abbreviated to STP, is an American rock band from San Diego, California that consists of Scott Weiland (lead vocals), brothers Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar), and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion). The band’s early hard rock, grunge-reminiscent style of music found them immediate success in 1992 with the release of their debut album “Core”. Further releases from the band have shown a variety of influences, and as such the band is considered to transcend the genre barrier.

Hard core Manson has released a teaser called I am among no one (excerpt from an undisclosed song with an unreleased title)
Marilyn Manson has posted a 26-second teaser of what will probably be his new single. The track is called “I am among no one” but Manson did add ‘excerpt from an undisclosed song with an unreleased title. The excerpt is the first material to emerge from the sessions of Manson’s 8th studio album. Manson is currently recording with long-time collaborator Twiggy Ramirez.
The album will also be the first since Manson left long-time record label Interscope in December 2009 after poor sales of his last album “The High End Of Low”. He has since signed to Cooking Vinyl. Manson’s father, Hugh Warner, described the album in a rather odd way, you’d think foul language runs in the Manson family: “It will make a vagina wet. What can you say after that? If the vagina’s wet, all things are good. That’s what he told me when I was listening to it. It’s very hard, very heavy, very good. Everyone should be extremely excited and happy.”
