An 11-piece ensemble, recorded in four different settings for impeccable, flexible sound — ideal for pop, RnB or commercial use.

Way larger than the original Session Strings and with a significantly more robust string section, Session Strings Pro provides an 11-piece ensemble that was recorded in four different settings to produce flexible, versatile sounds for modern pop and R&B tracks. A detailed instrument for contemporary studio strings, Session Strings Pro lets you combine up to 4 ensembles — each with 4 violins, 3 violas, 2 cellos, and 2 basses — as well as play up to 4 full 11-piece ensembles or individual instrument groups, create rhythmic phrases, and more.

Pulse Gameplay Footage

Pulse is a new music iPad game from Cipher Prime Studios.

“Enter an absorbing world where players become part conductor, part note-captor, part multi-touch master. Tap speeding notes as they cross the radiant pulse to conduct gorgeous original melodies.” – cipherprime.com

Download: itunes.apple.com/us/app/pulse-volume-one

The makers of Auditorium and Fractal have created an inviting atmosphere of melodic immersion, turning the player into both an active gamer and composer. The multi-touch experience is an elegant ode to rhythm, where music harmoniously ties the user to gameplay.

The game begins with a pulse that radiates over a series of concentric circles. Players tap notes as they are crossed by the pulse as it expands in time with the music. Beautiful graphics blossom and float outwards with each successfully timed hit. Missed notes, on the other hand, temporarily bump the game environment out of sync.

Pulse is propelled by its original soundtrack. Each level showcases a different song, and the game features eight original tracks from the Cipher Prime team. By changing the number of rings in every level, the player can play music in a variety of time signatures — a unique phenomenon in the rhythm game arena.

Cipher Prime will also regularly release free tracks written for Pulse by independent local Philadelphia musical artists. These songs will be available specifically for individual levels. This provides an eclectic soundtrack for the game, incorporating genres from chip-tune to nerdcore to death metal all while supporting the burgeoning Philadelphia music scene. Released tracks will be showcased at www.cipherprime.com, drawing attention to the local music community.

Sound Cells is an Universal iOS app, that creates generative music, inspired by the “Otomata” web app.
By touching the matrix, cells are created and start interacting with each other. If they collide (or land on the same square) they will change directions. If a cell touches the wall, it will generate a sound.
The rest of the app mechanics are left to the user for experimentation.

On-the-fly demo of the Audioung Bruno-6 Sample-based Synthesizer. More at audiolung.blogspot.com

This sample-based synth for NI Kontakt (player or full version) uses lossless .WAV samples taken from a vintage analog synthesizer of a similar name (the Roland Juno-6) and uses them as it’s oscillators. Very flexible, from sensible to crazy sounds, some of which you’ll hear in this demo.
