Time for a new modular treat, check out the massive spec below. The Flame Chord Machine module generates from an incoming CV over a range of 9 octaves a chord, represented by four seprate output voltages. Besides this there is an apreggiatior integrated that you can use as a quantizer. The module can be used for creating 2-note, 3-note or 4-note chords plus a fifth arpeggio voice.

My Doepfer DIY Synth.
I am using Silent Way( Step LFO) in Ableton with some drum loops, with Motu Ultralite , using Y cable. One side( tip) of the cable Y cable is driving the CV of the oscillator another(ring) is modulating the cut of of the frequency of the filter.
It is a first video using Sony HDR XR-500 camera using camera build in microphone.

Buchla one take improv using 3x patch layers.

The 112 Touch Controlled Voltage Source is being used to both transpose the 5-note mini sequence, as well as the delay feedback amount. So you’ll notice differnt levels of synced delay feedback as I play different keys – many of which are tuned to unison pitches . . . and not in perfect tune – this allows for creepy, slight doppler shift note repeats.

Mungo State Zero French Horn

John from Mungo Enterprises demonstrates a brass patch on the State Zero polyphonic modular. By coincidence someone was rehearsing on a french horn in another room which served as an ideal reference.

The Mungo State Zero modular synthesize is pure digital hardware, but uses a hands-on patch-cord interface. It offers 8-voice polyphony, full patch recall and knobs for everything. When you recall a patch, the knobs turn relative to the saved state, and the saved patch cord state is used until you make changes.

Because it’s a purely digital synth, you can’t patch analog gear into the front panel, but this is supported via rear connections.

DPO + Maths + Noisering + QMMG

Three takes of (basically) the same patch, played back simultaneously.

Make Noise DPO (VCO-A Lin FM of VCO-B, fixed index), controlled by Noisering outputs 1 and 2 (via Doepfer A-156 Dual Quantizer). Scaled versions of these voltages are also controlling the Rise, Fall and “Both” (timebase) values of three envelopes on two Maths modules, which are opening two LPG channels and two VCA channels on the QMMG (2x LPG –> VCA stereo arrangement), and are triggered by the Trig Outs of the A-156. Both LPGs are fed by the sine out of DPO VCO-B.

The Wogglebug’s clock out is patched to the External Control input on the Noisering, and its Stepped output (through an attenuator) is controlling the A-156’s Transpose amount.

The three takes were recorded and mixed together between 6 and 7am– lighting courtesy of the rising Chicago sun.
