Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 MKII Overview and Demo
We go over the features and demo the sounds of the Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 MKII.
Elektron Analog 4 controlling Pittsburgh Modular Foundation
This synth jam stars the Analog 4 by Elektron and features the Pittsburgh Modular Foundation synth. The A4 controls the PMF as track 4, by setting the OSC to Ext input.
The PMF is influenced by the built in LFO of the A4 to get some cool wobble effect.
Drums: Maschine.
Effects: Ableton Live.
Elektron Analog 4 Tutorial – Oscillators and Velocity Mod
This first A4 tutorial focuses on the Oscillator pages, and how to apply dynamic changes to a static sequence by modulating parameters with the velocity.
Techno demo of Elektron Analog Four, NI Maschine MK2, Arturia Minibrute
Here is a demo Jordan Passmore recorded of the Elektron Analog Four, Native Instruments Maschine MK2, and Arturia Minibrute. The A4 is doing the bassline and main melody, the Minibrute is doing the filtered clicks and Maschine is doing the drums. The Minibrute is being ran through a phaser, analog delay, analog chorus, then finally through the A4. The A4 is only affecting the gating (VCA trig) of the passed thru audio.
chris randall – ripspace
Some evening fun with the new Richard Divine soundpack for the Elektron Analog Four. As you can see, Chris also used a MeeBlip, a small modular, and the Maschine. All sequencing done on the Maschine and Analog Four.

128 experimental, haunting and outright bizarre Analog Four Sounds. Created by sound designer Richard Devine.
“I wanted to create a collection of abstract sounds that took advantage of the Analog Four’s extensive modulation capabilities. I hope these sounds inspire new ideas and offer some interesting starting points for a song.” — Richard Devine
Demo of Elektron Analog Four and a Roland TR-707
This demo is of the Elektron Analog Four, a four voice analog synthesizer/sequencer and the Roland TR-707 drum machine. The Elektron is doing all the tones here and of course, the 707 is playing the drums. In terms of effects, there is a slight bit of analog delay and chorus on the 707’s snare. Otherwise, all effects used are the ones built into the Elektron (it’s reverb and delay were used on this project). The mixer is an Alto AMX-220. The master of that was then sent to an Electra EQ, then finally to my soundcard. No post-processing, compression, etc was used.
Jordan Passmore says: I am having lots of fun with the Analog Four. It excels very well as modulated and filtered textures. It sounds very different than other analog synths I have owned in the past and the sequencer is (of course) fantastic. All tones here were programmed by me.
Close encounter with the Elektron Analog Four
We’ve been hearing a lot about Elektron’s new analog four voice. From the stylish but somewhat obscure introduction movie which piqued our interest, to the sound audition pieces coming online as people get hold of their very own units.
The Analog Four is a new type of instrument from Elektron as it has 100% analog VCOs and Filters which are digitally controlled. Their Machine Drum and MonoMachine have been Virtual Analog and sample based.
Elektron came over from their Gothenburg HQ to give us a closeup look at the Analog Four.
Jon is the product manager and is doing the talking, Jenk the guy making all the sounds.
No apologies for the length of the video, its just that there seemed to be so many things to talk about. Also this is intended to be a discussion about the features of the instrument, there are many other videos available that are just audio demos – check them out.
The Elektron Analog Four is available now via selected retailers and direct from the Elektron Website.
Elektron Analog Four – Creating pattern from scratch
This video is intended to show how the Analog Four can be used for Sound and Pattern creation + Parameter locks.
