Using a hacked Super8 projector
Nice demonstration from this performance
This is a totally diferent work from my previous ones and my first project playing solo with only an analog synth with which i have been playing in collective ensembles for more than four years in improvised contexts.
The super 8 projector was hacked so that the amplitude of the sound played controls the intensity of the light bulb and also control the speed of the projector flickering.
The performance develops in several stages, with different burning processes and different sound approaches.

Street musician caught playing sitar on ipad. She apparently used app Seline HD bit.ly/agfD9W for her performance. Also, sound was recorded using binaural microphones
So what is Electro-Harmonix Effectology
Effects expert Bill Ruppert is back with the latest in his series of of tutorial videos, Electro-Harmonix Effectology. The series is unique in the way Ruppert uses effects pedals in the manner of a modular synthesizer.
In Vol.18, of the series, Ruppert looks at creating “World Sounds” with effects pedals.

You may know that Steve Jobs was tearing down his old mansion. You didn’t know what he was building in its place. Until now.
After nearly a six years of detailed cost comparisons, environmental impact surveys, court appeals, and unrelenting legal kung fu with state and local preservationists, it appears the 1920s Woodside mansion Jobs bought in 1984 will finally have its date with the bulldozers.
In its place, the Apple CEO plans to erect a brand new $8.45 million single family home. And what might a man who’s described design as “the fundamental soul of a human-made creation” do when given the chance to build a new residence? Exactly what you’d expect…and also kind of not.
How about some cool modified toy pianos
Five modified toy pianos circulate the gallery on five elevated wooden tracks. Each piano is equipped with small speakers to play amplified sounds picked up from conductive tape on the tracks. Each piano also contains small motors which intermittently spin to strike the toy pianos’ tone bars, adding acoustic elements to the overall soundtrack of the work. The installation also features five video monitors, which display images of five different real landscapes to compliment the abstract landscape of the wooden tracks. As the pianos begin to move around the gallery, these video landscapes are also populated by a seemingly infinite stream of mobile pianos. The video documentation composites footage of the installation in the gallery with footage shown on the monitors within the installation. This work was originally exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego.

Wusik EVE 3 has been released
Wusik EVE V3 has been released for both Windows (VST) and MAC (VST/AU), plus, both Full and Demo versions now come with a complete library of sounds. The new Xenos Soundworks and the old Famous Keys sets 1, 2, 3 and 4. (LoFi Retro Sounds). And Wusik will keep bundling the Mellotronix, Zvon and the DBear Genesis sets, (each set has its own ZIP file).
EVE takes these vintage sounds and this early approach to ‘electronic’ music production as a starting point, bringing this general philosophy and sound into the modern virtual environment with an intuitive and powerful interface. At the core of the EVE approach to sound design is the basic structure of 3 sample-playing layers, 2 multi-effect racks, and a selected library of multisampled ‘electric keyboards’.
This enables the blending of several waveforms and instruments into a vintage wall of sound, or alternatively, the use of the 3 layers multi-timbrally as a vintage workstation. These layers can then be further processed through EVE’s powerful multi-effect racks.
