20th anniversary box set of Pink Floyd’s “The Division Bell” album
Out on June 30th is the 20th anniversary box set of Pink Floyd’s “The Division Bell” album. Set for release on 30 June 2014, “TheDivision Bell” was the last studio album to be released by the band consisting of David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. This 20th anniversary box set features six discs, including 3 replica coloured or clear vinyl discs, 5 collectors’ prints, a Blu-ray disc and for the first time Andy Jackson’s 5.1 audio mix of “The Division Bell“.
“The Division Bell” has since its release in 1994 reached total album sales of over 12 million. The album was recorded by the band at Astoria and Britannia Row Studios with the majority of the lyrics being written by Polly Samson and David Gilmour. David Gilmour said at the time: “The three of us went into Britannia Row studios, and improvised for 2 weeks. Playing together and starting from scratch was interesting and exciting, it kick started the album and the process was very good, it was collaborative and felt more cohesive.”

The Knife – Without You My Life Would Be Boring (Shaken-Up Version)
The Knife have announced a new mini album, Shaken-Up Versions, consisting of reworked tracks from The Knife’s back catalogue and coming off the back of their U.S. tour in support of last year’s Shaking The Habitual Tour this spring. The eight-track LP is out on June 17 through Rabid/Brille/Mute Records, and has been preceded by the release of the ‘Without You My Life Would Be Boring’ remix, out today as a single alongside other reworks from Rroxymore, J. Phlip and Kat Knix, details below:
On June 20, The Knife are digitally releasing Shaken-Up Versions a mini album of classic tracks reworked especially for the band’s recent North American leg of their Shaking The Habitual Tour.
To preview the new versions, the Shaken-Up version of ‘Without You My Life Would Be Boring’ is being released today, accompanied by a video directed by Bitte Andersson.

Voxen is *not* a text-to-speech system. You cannot provide it with lyrics and expect it to sing them. Voxen is a synthesizer that acoustically simulates a glottis and vocal tract, allowing you to manually control the sound. It synthesizes sounds, not words.
Because a human voice is more complex than nearly any other musical instrument, a synthesizer of human voices is also very complex. To control one can require the real-time manipulation and coordination of dozens of separate parameters.
If you are looking for something that creates a musical performance from a piece of sheet music and some lyrics on a scrap of paper, hire a good vocalist. On the other hand, if you are looking some new and different sounds, use Voxen.
