3D audio binaural plugin for DAWs

SoX – Swiss Army Knife of Sound Processing Programs
SoX is a cross-platform (Windows, Linux, MacOS X, etc.) command line utility that can convert various formats of computer audio files in to other formats. It can also apply various effects to these sound files, and, as an added bonus, SoX can play and record audio files on most platforms. The screen-shot to the below shows an example of SoX first being used to process some audio, then being used to play some audio files. SoX 14.3.2 was released on February 27, 2011. Game Informer has published a great video interview with audio director Stefan Strandberg talking about the sound of Battlefield 3. He explains the approach on the sound design in Battlefield 3, talks about the new challenges on this title and also shares some footage from a very unique recording session the audio team had.
The award-winning team behind Battlefield: Bad Company 2′s terrific sound design is back. Lead by audio director Stefan Strandberg, DICE got up close and personal with the sounds of battle during a live military exercise. Their recordings and subsequent lessons learned could make Battlefield 3 the most realistic sounding war experience in gaming.

Get the grips with “noteplex”
noteplex offers a new and unique way to create and experience music. In noteplex, you see the music happen before your eyes.
noteplex presents composers with a hexagonal board of cells on which can be placed nodes. A noteplex song begins when the first node fires a pulse. These pulses hit other nodes, which play their sounds and fire more pulses. Those new pulses hit other nodes, and so on. You’re hearing a noteplex song!
