My hardware synth adaptation from Röyksopps Awesome track, Monument (T.I.E Version).

But this time I wanted to do new video version using just hardware synths and use computer only for recording.

Hot of the shelfs Röyksopp’s new video – Skulls
‘Skulls’ was the first track taken from the album ‘The Inevitable End’, a song that comes with an invitation and a stark warning, set amongst squelchy bass lines and filtered synths.
Norwegian director and long time collaborator Stian Andersen made the haunting black and white film that accompanies the song.
It follows the ominous journey of Svein and Torbjørn with friends and 83 year-old Adolf into dark woods and dark places.

New material from Röyksopp coming soon
On December 16th the Norwegian electronic duo Röyksopp will present “Running To The Sea”, their first new single since 2011. “Running To The Sea” features vocals by Norwegian artist Susanne Sundfør. Note that it was Sundfør who also collaborated with the band in creating a cover version of Depeche Mode’s “Ice Machine”. The singing on the b-side “Something In My Heart” is provided by Jamie of The Irrepressibles.
With this new single the duo Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland offer an insight in what to expect from their 5th album. “Running To The Sea” will be released on Röyksopp’s label Dog Triumph, via Wall of Sound and Cooking Vinyl in the UK.

Depeche Mode will release “Remixes 2: 81-11” on Mute Records on 6 June
From Mute comes the news that Depeche Mode will release “Remixes 2: 81-11” on Mute Records on 6 June 2011. This new compilation includes classic mixes from M83, UNKLE, Trentemøller, François Kervorkian and Dan The Automator, alongside all-new mixes from Stargate, Eric Prydz, Karlsson & Winnberg (Miike Snow) and Röyksopp. The expanded editions will furthermore include exclusive remixes by former band members Vince Clarke and Alan Wilder. it’s the first time either artist has remixed tracks for their former colleagues.
“Remixes 2: 81-11″ will be available in two different CD formats: a single and triple disc version, as well as a download and as a 6 x 12” vinyl LP box set.

Time to sum up the past ten years and list the 20 best / most important electronic, electro, EBM and synth albums that has been released. This is of course a tricky quest and will most likely create some debate. Numerous of good albums has been released and I have certainly not listened to all of them, but still someone needs to make a statement :-). The albums are listed in order of importance, but may not be absolute, in the sense that – if they are rated as number 6, they could easily be argued to have place number 7 instead etc, but still…
