Tekky Synths has released a new pitched feedback delay VST effect plug-in for Windows called UpTiLin.
UpTiLin, which stands for Up Time Line allows the user to pitch a delayed signal in real time to achieve some funky effects ranging from classical stereo delay to cartoon-like, monsters and ghost effects. UpTiLin can also be a tool for vocal processing when used as a vocal-doubler or with more subtle settings such as a reverb.

- 2x chained BPM delays: 1 master delay and 1 stereo delay.

Two years after their last release (“Split”) brings the Synthpopband dAVOS finally new material on the market: “Tender Loving Care”, the group has more from an EP than a maxi-single, as the record besides the title track, an additional six more songs who were on scene stars such as Andy Kruger (Melody Club) or chai (Jesus On Ecstasy) remixed contains. In addition, located on the CD, which is also offered as a download, the first music video from Davos, the two professional clubs in Vienna in the new line – was shot – replaced the guitarist Gerd Matt C. Hall.

The Misa digital guitar is an experimental new instrument, similar to an electric guitar in shape, but with an interface designed to easily and intuitively control digital audio.
Most musicians today use some form of audio synthesis or sampling in their music. Virtually any type of sound can be created using these methods. Traditionally, digital piano keyboards have been the dominant instrument for controlling these sounds real-time in a musical setting.
At Misa, we provide a new instrument that not only unites traditional guitar playing technique with digital sound, but allows digital guitarists to use playing techniques that are not possible or comfortable on a digital keyboard.
How it works:
The Misa Kitara consists of three main components: a full fretboard, a multi-touch screen and an onboard polyphonic synthesizer with sounds and effects. The kitara’s neck has 24 frets, but instead of strings each fret contains buttons. You play notes by touching on the screen. The position and movement of your touch determine how the sound is generated and processed. You can apply a number of digital effects, including distortion, delay and modulation, and you can control these effects through the touch panel interface. You can save sounds as presets, and you can swap preset files online. You can assign one sound to all six strings, or assign different sounds to different strings. The kitara can control compatible MIDI devices too. Everything is configurable. It runs Linux and is open source.

Testing the capabilities of the Kenton Pro-2000
VERY short demo of the Kenton Pro-2000 together with the MS-20. Programming the Pro 2000 is extremely simple. In ‘Parameter’ mode, the Inc/Dec buttons scroll through the available parameters. Once the parameter to be changed is displayed on the backlit LCD, pressing the ‘Select’ button then allows that parameter’s value to be edited by the Inc/Dec buttons.
The range of control offered by the Pro 2000 is extensive. Each of its CV/gate channels is completely independent, with parameters for MIDI channel, note priority (low, high or oldest), single or multiple trigger mode, ±24 semitones transpose, ±12 semitones pitch-bend, portamento rate, and portamento controller (including a permanent ‘on’ setting). The Pro 2000 will work with most synth gates, including Moog’s S-trig system, and it allows for 5V or 15V pull-up triggers.
Kenton have endowed the Pro 2000 with two internal LFOs, which may be freely assigned to modulate the channel CV outputs or any of the Auxiliary outputs. The LFOs sport a selection of nine useful waveforms, including triangle, sawtooth, pulse and ‘sample and hold’, although I would like to see a noise modulation option to get that distinctive MiniMoog screech. Each LFO will happily sync to MIDI clock messages, with a variable divide ratio for synchrosonic sequencing between a semibreve and a demisemiquaver triplet!

I bought my Korg MS20 in 1995. Back then I didn’t have time money to buy a MIDI/CV converter. I have always recorded it live. Today 2011-07-07 I finally got a Kenton Pro-2000 and this is the first test after hooking it up. For the first time since 1995 I can play fast, tight bass line. 😀

Capturing the classic MS-20 filter – Intellijel Corgasmatron
The original circuit was designed by analog guru David G. Dixon after carefully studying and analyzing the classic Korg MS-20 filter. His work resulted in a completely original circuit based around SSM2164 VCA chips. His design was capable of almost identical results but was far more versatile. This is not a part for part clone, it is an entirely new and modern circuit with many enhancements.
Key features:
-16HP and shallow (two pcbs in parallel so it is skiff friendly)
-two independent filters, each with LP, HP and Notch modes.
-Unique resonant (Q) drive control
-A Switch links the two filters allowing both parallel and serial routing via normals to input B (which can be broken by inserting a cable at input B).
-Oscillates very easily and can be used as a dual sine VCO. Using the resonant controls this Sine shape can be colored.
-1V/Oct inputs
-Built in full featured cross fader allows voltage controlled xfading between the two filters. The Xfade has a switch to select either unipolar (e.g. envelopes) or bipolar (e.g. lfo) control of the xfade position. There is also a switch to select direction. With nothing plugged into the Xfade jack the xfade knob controls the fade position. When an external CV is patched in the same knob acts as an attenuator for the control signal.
-Jumpers on the back to select “modern” or “vintage” resonant modes (two different feedback paths for the resonance that use different diodes)
-expansion jacks for adding additional filter inputs and VC control of resonance
The Corgasmatron’s sound can range from ultra clean and precise, to extremely ballsy and dirty.The resonance is incredibly musical and interesting and is prime for all sorts of experimenting and sound design. The normalling, routing and cv options have been carefully selected to allow for a lot of control over the modules functionality and capabilities.
