Native brings us Maschine 1.7
OK, so now it is official; Native Instruments has announced Maschine 1.7, coming in September.
Maschine 1.7 version builds on plug-in support offered by 1.6, allowing the finding and loading of individual presets from within the Maschine hardware browser, withouthaving to touch your keyboard or mouse.
This furthers the integration between Maschine and Komplete 8, utilizing Native Instrument’s new NIS sound format.
With 1.7, you can browse and load the plug-in presets from all Komplete 8 versions, directly inside the Maschine hardware browser. This is designed so that you can operate Maschine without ever having to touch your mouse or keyboard.

DJ Haus with Traktor Sample Deck Overlay

DJ Haus (one half of the Hot City outfit) drops a live “Unknown To The Unknown” label mix using the latest generation TRAKTOR DJ software with two TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 controllers and the new Sample Deck mapping and designated physical overlay. The overlay can be applied on top of the controller to re-label buttons and knobs to match the functionality of the Sample Deck mapping.
In this video, DJ Haus juggles eight Sample Deck slots of loops and clips, mixing and remixing tracks on the fly using the comprehensive control of the new mapping. The tailor-made visuals represent the individual sounds of the different loops loaded into the Sample Decks.

The Graphical user interface has been designed by renowned GUI designer Anders Hedstrom(Flavours of Lime) who has done an amzing job creating the front panels and user interface. There are lots of great sounds from sound design guru Ingo Weidner who has made a batch of great sounds for the Jen sx3000-there are also sounds from Synth Magic. Free Reaktor Plugin Delivers Multiband Sonic Mayhem
DNR Collaborative has introduced DEFCON3, a ‘Multiband Audio Deconstruction Unit’ for Native Instruments Reaktor.
According to the developers, ‘DEFCON3 is a complete multiband lo-fi, distortion, audio deconstruction device that is capable of taking any audio and completely mangling it in a variety of ways. It can go from subtle dirt to all out war in just a few knob turns.’
The DNR Collaborative is an organization ‘committed to community, constantly looking for new ways to help small developers, artists, designers and musicians reach others with their work.’

Vintage Compressors: Sidechain & Ducking FX

In addition to the lgendary vintage character sound, the Vintage Compressors have been updated with a sidechain input, for the well-known ‘pumping’ sound of modern club music. The VC 76, VC 2A and VC 160 are painstakingly accurate emulations of three of the most heavily-used compressors in studio history. Each has its own unmistakable sound, and thanks to added sidechaining and parallel compression.

Effectively control Native Instruments’ Prism synth
Jacques returns with some more creative ways to control Native Instruments Prism synth. Using a Starr Labs Ztar Jacques can control any number of parameters found within this soft-synth, such as decay, harmonic ratios, delays, FX, tempos etc. he’s easily programmed the touch pads, ribbon, joystick, and volume knob to interact with Prism, allowing for quite an expressive and creative journey into sound!
