iPad transforms itself into a MIDI controller
MIDIPilot (App Store link) is a $9.99 app that turns your iPad into a configurable, multifunction MIDI controller, using its multi-touch display to play notes and control synthesizer and effects parameters to a computer over a WiFi connection.
MIDIPilot is modular in structure, and can operate as various combinations of a scrollable, piano-style keyboard with pitch bender, controller ribbons and X-Y pads.
MIDIPilot works with the open-source DSMIDIWiFi software, which is available for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

SoftStep tutorial – multi-touch controller
Keith McMillen Instruments announced earlier in the week the release of SoftStep, the first universal multi-touch USB/MIDI foot controller.

This DIY Deadmau5 mask takes it the whole way
Spent 4 weeks making and 2 months planning and it all came together with a week to spare. Uses a netduino micro-controller and a bliptonics spectrum analyzer to listen to the audio played from any input. A set of computer speakers was taken apart and placed in the head as well. All if it is powered by a set of 9v batteries. When no music is being played the eyes will flash at 132 bpm, when music is on it will flash to the any strong bass notes under 100mhz.

So now my Monopoly owns a polyphonic midi-retrofit from CHD Elektroservis. 808 beat is done in Ableton. Theres a little delay on the sound because the sound you hear is the actual tape recording and plays a little slower then thza original sound. Not really special but I just wanted to show this monophonic midicontrolled polysynth.
Pure NES and Atari
Two square-wave oscillators built into a NES advantage controller with turbo.
This is a square-wave generator with a pulsing effect, hand built into an Atari paddle controller. When you press the trigger it plays the pitch controlled by the large original knob. When you flip the switch a LFO will start to pulse on and off. The speed of the pulse is controlled by the additional smaller knob and at high speeds you can get some interesting throaty sounds.
A red LED lights with the sound. It can easily be connect to amps, effects, recording equipment, etc. At the end of the original cord is a 1/4″ plug and running from there is a wall adapter for power.
This classic feels great in your hands and residue in the old knob (that once caused annoying skips during your game) now gives you nice little distortions.

Neurohedron is a unique music instrument and modal software controller
The Neurohedron is a unique music instrument and modal software controller, conceived of as a nonlinear sequencer.
The simplest traditional sequencers may employ eight steps that return to the first step after reaching the last step; in contrast, the Neurohedron is a three dimensional sequencer with twelve nodes arranged as a dodecahedron. With this structure, there is no clear or de facto path that the progression from one node to the next may take.
Yep – it’s a D12 music sequencer!
Each face on the Neurohedron is both a touch-switch that sends input triggers to software, as well as an electroluminescent panel that displays feedback from the software.
Each face is connected in a graph to the 5 faces adjacent to it. Each of the edges between these faces is then weighted between 0 and 1, and the progression from one face to another follows the highest weighted edges.
Each node (face) in the network is then mapped to a MIDI note. These mappings are described by a variety of musical modes. Thus, a sequence on the Neurohedron will send patterns of MIDI notes to a synthesizer platform (Ableton Live, in this case).
