Random Walk Generator Demo (ArdCore, Kraftzwerg, & A148)

October 28, 2012 · Posted in Uncategorized · Comments Off on Random Walk Generator Demo (ArdCore, Kraftzwerg, & A148)

The Snazzy FX ArdCore is a Eurorack module based around the Arduino microcontroller. You can create programs (a.k.a. sketches) on your computer and upload them via USB into the module.

For this video, ‘chisel316’ loaded the Random Walk Generator sketch into the ArdCore and use it to modulate the VCOs on the Kraftzwerg. Also in play in this patch are the Kraftzwerg’s Dual cross-modulating LFOs and the Doepfer A148 Sample and Hold module.

“As you can see, I started expanding my modular setup. I’ve been collecting modules that I feel compliment the Kraftzwerg.”

Thomas Henry’s Controller LFO

Again a very short demo of one of Tomas’ new modules. This video shows just the LFO running in trigger mode, and then in gated mode.
There are only few LFO modules integrating a gate delay and a VCA to create this delayed and inceasing tremolo/vibrato that sounds so musical.

Modular Synthesizer for AudioCubes: Synthor

October 21, 2012 · Posted in Uncategorized · Comments Off on Modular Synthesizer for AudioCubes: Synthor

Synthor is a new app made in Max/Max for 8 AudioCubes. Synthor is a modular synthesizer application for 8 AudioCubes made in Max/Msp. Percussa is developing the synth in Max, but will very likely build a VST version once they’re happy with thier Max patch. In their modular synthesizer application they’re using 2 sides of the audiocube as an input and 2 sides of the audiocubes as an output. To make it more easy to remember which side of the cube is the input and which one is the output, they’ve put stickers on top of every cube. The black lines indicate the 2 outputs, and the other sides of the cubes are the inputs.

Buy the Modular Synth package for AudioCubes including the free Synthor app directly at the Percussa website. More info at www.percussa.com
