Emerson Lake and Palmer were once famously described by John Peel as ‘a waste of electricity’. However, that was one thing I didn’t agree with him about because when I was 11 years old they were my favorite band. I still know every word, keyboard part and drum fill on every album off by heart. So I was watching a short film about their first ever gig at the IOW festival in 1970 today on Sky Arts, and there was this new clip of Keithy-boy that I had not seen before. So I recorded it on my iphone (sorry for rubbish quality)

Alice in Videoland’s 4th album
Swedish electroclash bans Alice In Videoland are finally set to release their fourth album “A Million Thoughts and They’re All About You” on CD on 24 January, three months after being available exclusively on iTunes. The highlight of the record is a cover of “Buffalo Stance”, a hit for fellow hit Swedish pop star Neneh Cherry. The ten-track LP is the band’s fourth studio album and picks up right where their last album, 2008’s “She’s a Machine”, left off.

More crazy stuff – Sauerkraut Synthesizer
Gordon Monahan uses fruits, vegetables, and a jar of sauerkraut as voltage controllers for a software synthesizer built with ppooll-max/msp and an arduino interface. Performed live at the Subtle Technologies Festival, on board a cruise ship in Toronto Harbour, June 5, 2010.
The Sauerkraut Synthesizer is based on a technical prototype using lemons (The Lemon Synthesizer), developed as a collaboration between Gordon Monahan, Akemi Takeya, and Noid, in Vienna, March, 2009.

Phatty Tuner Alternate Scales Editor
Chris Rosser takes us on a sonic world tour with the Slim Phatty and Little Phatty. New stuff from Scandinavian Cock
Andy LaPlegua (inter alia, Combichrist, Panzer AG, Icon Of Coil) has for some time been working with his new side project Scandinavian Cock. The first material is now on its way through the American Metropolis Records with four-track EP was “Uncut”, which also contains a cover of The Dead Boys classic “Sonic Reducer”.
With Scandinavian Cock we are given a small electronic and clear punkier version of the multi-faceted Andy LaPlegua. Something that is not particularly surprising since the Norwegian in his career been active in most of the music scene in Finland. He made industrial rock with the Devils Into Crime, experimented with hip-hop during his time with the LAW, with punk bands Fleshfire and My Right Choice and even metal with Lash Out. In addition, he also worked with trance and club music, with projects including Sector9 and Plastic Life.
EP was “Uncut” released on 24 January via Metropolis Records.
37 MiniMoog Testing
I just bought another vintage MiniMoog Model D and thought I’d do a video while testing that everything works. It turned out a decent walk through of quite a few of the sounds a MiniMoog can make.
I don’t really know if one “needs” two MiniMoog but the price was right so I kind of had to. Also, I think there are some cool things that can be done with two Minis I suppose 
So keep an eye open for that!
