Circuit bent record player. Replaced the needle catridge with an LDR controlled 555 oscillator and plays records retrofitted with LEDs to work as a vactrol-like sequencer.

TECH|DISOBEY|LAB is an experimental art project that explores sounds and visuals through DIY electronics, circuit bending, and self-made instruments; utilizing electronic salvage and consumer debris as a platform for audio-video expedition.

Underworld are one of the most successful groups to emerge from the UK’s rave scene, releasing records and touring the world for over 20 years. In this video, the group’s Darren Price invites NI into the studio to witness the performance of a new track for Underworld’s live set, created in just one day using only Maschine 1.6.

Native Instruments has updated Maschine to version 1.6. This major update provides the ability for the hardware/software combo to support plug-in hosting for instruments and effects, and bring the product closer and closer to a full-on Digital Audio Workstation.
