Oliver Chesler (born January 20, 1970), better known by his stage name The Horrorist, is an electronic music artist from New York. He is the owner of the Things to Come Records. He has live performances all around the world but a hotspot is Germany. Many remember him as the punk styled kid in D.A. Pennebaker’s concert film “101”, featuring Depeche Mode. British music critic Simon Reynolds once proclaimed, “My favorite contemporary American singer-songwriter is Oliver Chesler, a/k/a The Horrorist.

Vile Electrodes initially formed through a mutual affection for early synthpop, delta blues, rock n roll and miserable indie bands, but their sound has probably been equally influenced by fetish porn, crap dead-end jobs and an unhealthy obsession with analogue synthesizers.
They began as a duo, have picked up and lost various people along the way and now exist as a 2/3/4 piece (in terms of human content) according to the time of day, the direction of the wind and the position of the stars.
They are currently working together on several exciting new songs and projects that will appear in the not-too-distant future, including additional collaboration with Sound of Science.

Synth Answer No. 1 = Studio Electronics Midimoog
So Studio Electronics Midimoog was the right answer. It is actually a real Minimoog (original Minimoog boards) in a different (19″) housing with MIDI. Fabulous machine!!!
The Midimoog is an excellent resurrection of the Minimoog by Studio Electronics, a company that has shown with its ATC-1 Tone Chameleon that they can emulate the classic synths. Remaining faithful to the original design, circuitry and components, Studio Electronics has recreated the original in a new rackmount MIDI equipped unit. Every unit has a genuine Minimoog Model D board inside. They’ve added a new dedicated LFO in addition to the Midi. Unfortunately, due to the 100% analog design of this synth, including the analog pots and switch controllers, retrofitting patch memory to the original Minimoog boards would have been a major electronic undertaking. So just like the original Minis, there is no patch memory storage.
The front panel layout of the Midimoog strongly resembles the Minimoog’s original design. Familiar to old Minimoogers and fairly easy to learn and explore for the newer users. As for the sounds… they’re the real thing. Three oscillators power this monophonic analog beast to create fat and warm synth basses, leads, blip-bleeps and sweeping sounds. The classic 24 dB/oct lowpass Moog filter is here too, and just as powerful as always. The rack-mountability and MIDI implementation alone make this an excellent choice for anyone looking for the famous warm Moog sounds in a compact yet classic MIDI-equipped module.
“Spaces in Places” Yamaha MU80 (Percussion) + Nord Lead 1
Here’s a simple 8 bar vamp with elaborate percussion I composed on Finale. Nord Lead begins playing at (0:40).
“I created controller patches for the Nord and MU80 on the Nord Modular G1. There are no Nord Modular sounds in this, although it was used as the main controller. Whoever messes around with their portamento settings on their MU80? Easily when the midi CCs are mapped to a controller. Also switched in and out of ‘modulated delay’ preset on the Lexicon MX300. I didn’t want the delay on during the complex drumfills.”

Mesh are preparing for a new single. “Adjust Your Set” will be the second single for the Bristol Duo taken from their latest LP “Automation Baby”. The first single was “Born To Lie”. The radio edit for the single was produced by Nico “Mabose” Wieditz (And One) who completely deconstructed the original for a more danceable club version. Add to that a remix by Rob Dust of “Adjust Your Set” (which is also featured as a ballad version). Also added is the exclusive B-side “Walk Of Shame”.
