New dark beats from the spanish Terrolokaust

Spanish dark EBM duo Terrolokaust, which released the single “No Control” in December is now current with their debut album. “God Loves The Violence” contains 18 tracks including remixes signed, among others, Die Sector, Reaper, Grendel and Nachtmahr.
“God Loves The Violence” will be released on March 25th via Infacted Recordings and Deathwatch Asia.

Interview with Necro Facility
Necro Facility recently finished the recordings for their upcoming third studio album “Wintermute”.In this interview Henrik Bäckström and Oscar Holter talks about the new album that is scheduled to be released the next couple of months.
Necro Facility released the debut album “The Black Paintings” back in 2005. Two years later, in March 2007, they released the follow-up “The Room”. Last year they returned in a collaboration together with Covenant and their single “Lightbringer”.
Die Krupps and Nitzer Ebb join forces on tour
We have all heard Die Krupps’ and Nitzer Ebb’s collaboration “Machineries of Joy” from 1989. Now, 22 years later the two legendary bands join forces on a nine-date “Join in the Rhythm of Machines” tour in April and May. They will play Paris, Dortmund, Antwerpen, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Malmö, Berlin, Bratislava and Budapest.
A special EP is being recorded as we speak, to be sold exclusively at the concerts. There will also be surprises on stage.
The new album from And One – TANZOMAT
A new album from one of the most successful German synth-pop groups offers twelve times highly electrified harmony between EBM and pop music. Old fans of the band will appreciate that the multi-crafty mix strong again moved in the direction of the And One early works. With And One, you are getting what you came for. The new long player from Germany’s most successful synth pop group features twelve instances of highly electrifying euphony, balancing the scales between massive beat madness and the eternal quest for the holy grail pop.
The band recently released solo EP was “Zerstörer” – where the title track is completely separate and not included in the forthcoming full length album. During the year, it has also scheduled a number of live dates together with Camouflage, De / Vision and Minerve. And One out with new EP
Besides the rather unusual “Bodypop 1½” and the “Live” releases in 2009 it’s been really silent with new material since the “Bodypop” album in 2006. 2011 sees the return of Steve Naghavi and crew in form of the single “Zerstörer”. As a treat of the upcoming studio album “Tanzomat”, scheduled for early March, this single comes with three new tracks aswell as three live versions recorded in 2010 aswell as the ‘rockabilly’ version of “Military Fashion Show” and a special mix of the title track.

Combichrist are at it again
Combichrist continues to bring out new material. This time the band will release its second single taken from the new album “Making Monsters”, which was released last summer.
“Throat Full Of Glass” is the title and will be available in 5 different mixes, including SAM and Daniel Myer, plus a video together with the unreleased track “Industrial Strenght”. Release date is scheduled in February.

The Neon Judgement – Smack
The Neon Judgement remains one of the most legendary electronic bands in history. They for sure were one of the pioneers of the so-called dark electro and other EBM movement. Together with bands like Front 242, The Klinik, à Grumh, SA42 and A Split Second they still are the proud of many Belgian electro lovers. After a hiatus of several years The Neon Judgement struck back and mainly concentrated on live performances. It took them years to dare launching a new album. This album entitled “Smack” was a real nice surprise seeing the duo transposing their typical 80s sound into a more modern approach. Months later now appears this “Smack”-baby, which is an EP featuring 8 tracks. We here get 6 remixes and 2 original versions. The American artist DJ 3000 produced two remixes of “The Great Consumer” (originally released on the CD). Both remixes are quite well-crafted, but I have some preference for the groovy opener. Christopher Kah made an appreciable remix of “Leash” and Bodyspasm (Belgian project) together with Dirk Da Davo made a pretty cool and technoid version of “I Cut Loose”. Radical G is the big fish from this EP and it’s not really a surprise that this artist transposed “We Are confused” (originally released on the CD as well) into a terrific, minimal technoid cut reaching a total climax in the break of the song. The “3 D Re-Edit” of “Smack” was made by Dirk Da Davo. The mix is quite recognizable and logically the most close to the original version. The result is a kind of technoid-wave mixture. The two songs left are the ‘original versions’ from “Leash” and “The Great Consumer”, which bring us back to the real mood and style of the “Smack”-CD. This EP has been quite logically released on Dancedelic D(igital), home of Neon Electronics (dance side-project of Dirk Da Davo). “Smack”-EP brings The Neon Judgement transposed into technoid-orientated remixes. It’s an experience that might make the earliest fans a bit skeptical, but it also reveals the vision of a band facing the current trends.

Covenant inspired by the Road (Modern Ruin)
David Bowie did it, the Nine Inch Nails did it and now Covenant has done it. The Swedish EBM act has made a song inspired by a Hollywood movie. The genesis of their track “The Road”, which appears on their new album “Modern Ruin”, was the Viggo Mortensen movie of the same name.
For those who don’t know, “The Road” stars Mortensen (pictured) as a father who struggles with his son to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. The 2009 film was adapted from the award-winning novel of the same name by Cormac McCarthy, whose other book “No Country For Old Men” later became an Oscar-winning movie starring Tommy Lee Jones and Javier Bardem. The film is an interesting choice of inspiration for Covenant’s music, who follow in the footsteps of NIN, whose 2005 song “Only” was inspired by “Fight Club”, and Bowie, who penned his classic hit “Space Oddity” after watching “2001: A Space Odyssey”.
“Modern Ruin” was slated for a 2010 release, but was delayed until this year. They released the “Lightbringer” EP – itself a track on the new LP – last October (you can order it below) to give fans a taste of what “Modern Ruin” will sound like. Released via Synthetic Symphony/SPV, the record will hit shops in Germany on Friday, the rest of Europe on Monday and the US (via Metropolis Records) on 8 February. Nice stuff. It’s just a pity that SPV, for some obscure reason, never sent a review copy to Side-Line. Crisis? We asked, but never got any reply. If that’s the new way of doing promo, it will be a great year!

New stuff from Scandinavian Cock
Andy LaPlegua (inter alia, Combichrist, Panzer AG, Icon Of Coil) has for some time been working with his new side project Scandinavian Cock. The first material is now on its way through the American Metropolis Records with four-track EP was “Uncut”, which also contains a cover of The Dead Boys classic “Sonic Reducer”.
With Scandinavian Cock we are given a small electronic and clear punkier version of the multi-faceted Andy LaPlegua. Something that is not particularly surprising since the Norwegian in his career been active in most of the music scene in Finland. He made industrial rock with the Devils Into Crime, experimented with hip-hop during his time with the LAW, with punk bands Fleshfire and My Right Choice and even metal with Lash Out. In addition, he also worked with trance and club music, with projects including Sector9 and Plastic Life.
EP was “Uncut” released on 24 January via Metropolis Records.
