The Belgian electronic act Psy’Aviah have released quite a cute animated video for the track “On My Own”.

We love the distinct drawing style and her ability to tell a story using her animation skills, we hope you’ll enjoy this music video for “On My Own”, which is tightly linked to the meaning of the song.

Mungo dDS noise channel activated via trigger in modification. Flanging effect via Yamaha AD-202 Analog Delay.
“Conga Heart Beat”
MFB Drum-06 Tom Tom module into Analogue Systems RS-100 Low Pass Filter. The tom interchanges as a fill with the kick drum via alternating switching by using VCAs with an Intellijel Flip Flop.
“Snappy Chorus Claps”
Sound of a Pittsburgh Modular Generator frequency modulated by itself and white noise. The internal VCA of the Generator is controlled by an Analogue Systems RS-60 Envelope. It then goes into a Doepfer A-136 Distortion/Waveshaper and on into a Flight of Harmony Sound of Shadows delay.
“Rubber Bass Kicks”
MFB Drum-04 Bass Drum module Sequenced by an Analogue Systems RS-200 Sequential Controller into an RS-100 Low Pass Filter. I reset the sequence with a foot switch via a Doepfer A-177-2 External Foot Controller II module.
“G-Funk Bird Calls”
Cwejman VM-1 sequenced via an RS-200 Sequential Controller into an RS-110 Multimode Filter using the high-pass output. It then goes into a Pittsburgh Modular Analogue Delay and on into a Zoom 9200 Reverb.
“Metal-Beaded Cabasa”
Elby Designs CGS747 Cynare Simulator triggered via a Doepfer A-166 Dual Logic Module.
“Com Trusian Chords”
Roland Juno-106 into a Boss RX-100 Spring Reverb.
“Aztec God Rays”
While the Juno-106 is played polyphonically is also activating a mono channel of a Kenton Pro-2 Midi-to-CV converter which is controlling another Cwejman VM-1. The envelope in set in such a way that the sound emerges once the gate is released. It goes into a Doepfer A-199 Spring Reverb which is feeding back into the VM-1 via the audio input jack.
“Ticklish Chimp Giggles”
The result of a complex feedback loop involving a Doepfer A-138m Matrix Mixer, an MFB DRUM-05 Snare Drum module, an Elby Designs CGS735 Synthacon Filter, a Pittsburgh Modular VC Bend and an Elby Designs ED108 ChaQuO.
“Didgeridoo Error Stabs”
The Kawai K5000W keyboard is acting as a Midi controller for another channel of CV via a Kenton Pro-2. It controls 2 Bubblesound uLFOs going into a Make Noise QMMG modulated by a Make Noise Maths.

Chemical Brothers ‘Velodrome’ – London 2012
Crystal has created a three minute animated sequence for the song’s promotional video to match its heart-pounding rhythms. Played in the Velodrome before every session the video shows the Velodrome as never before, literally pulsating with excitement.
“We’ve created sweeping contours and sleek surfaces as the backdrop for an intense, futuristic cycling ‘duel’ as two animated riders power round the track,” said Darren Groucutt, creative director at Crystal. “It truly brings the Velodrome to life.”
James O’Brien, LOCOG Head of Sports Presentation, said: ‘Inspiring people to engage with sport has always been central to our vision and we want to ensure the way we present sport adds to the experience of the spectators in the venues and builds the atmosphere. Covenant on extensive August tour in North America
The Swedish synthie/electro act Covenant returns to North America this August as they embark on a 20 date tour, including a special extended/rarities set performance at one of their California shows. The band comes with a newly revised line-up which now includes Daniel Jonasson from Dupont. Jonasson will replace Joakim Montelius live.
The tour kicks off August 20 in Chicago and ends off with dates in South America which will be confirmed pretty soon.

This tune by Jarre is one of the most joyful tunes in the world and always makes me smile. Therefore, I picked this one as of the very few covers I performed at my mini-tour in May 2012. This video was recorded live at my show in Doo-Bop Club, Vaasa, 12th of May 2012.
The song was performed using only analog synthesizers, either played live or sequenced. The performance was recorded line in to one of the cameras. The ambience in the club was recorded using the built-in microphones on two of the remaining cameras and mixed together with the line signal.
Equipment used in this song: Arp Odyssey Mk II; Korg Polysix, Poly 61, Mono/Poly, Micro-preset M500; Roland TR-808, Juno 60, Alpha Juno 1&2; Moog Source, Touched-by-sound DRM1, Oberheim Matrix 6R, Yamaha RM1x (only for MIDI sequencing), Behringer DDX3216, Lexicon MPX500, as well as a midi patchbay and additional preamps for my mixer. Cameras: Canon HF100 (x2), HF200 and HF406.
