Here is a new video featuring the DSI Tempest. “This is the first of two videos were I recorded the Tempest 6 individual outputs live in one take into Logic and then afterwards mixed it.
I recorded the DSI Tempest 6 individual outputs straight into the UAD Apollo sound card in one take. Then I played 2 overdubs on the Tempest pads with polyphonic synth sounds.
The reverb, EQ and compressor are from the UAD Apollo and recorded live at the same time. Then some mixing/mastring in Logic. All synth sounds made by DreamProbe.

System 1000M Modular Kontakt synth review
Checking out a new product from Tronsonic and Synthmagic called the System 1000M which is an analog modular synthesizer for Kontakt. It was sampled through valve tube equipment directly to tape and it has tons of character and warmth.

Sound of Science “Hydrodome” Teaser (From Within)
Sound of Science have released their first synthpop single Hydrodome. This is Tom Carpenter and Jason Huffman band. Tom as you know is the man who creates the Analogue Solutions synthesizers. He has some great remixers on this single: Daniel Myer (Haujobb), John von Ahlen, Northern Kind and Julian Beeston. Demo of the Korg Electribe ES-1, EM-1, and Novation DrumStation
This demo includes the Korg ES-1 sampler, Korg EM-1 workstation, and Novation DrumStation drum synth. The EM-1 is sequencing the DrumStation, the DrumStation is doing it’s own sort of 909 impression, and the ES-1 is playing back the sample (Cathy Dennis “Touch Me”, sampled off the 12″ single and pitched down). The ES-1 is also functioning as an effects unit with it’s audio in being connected to an effects send on my mixer. The reverb is an Electro Harmonix Holy Stain.
Minibrute controlling a MiniMoog Model D – Ableton live

Using the QMVS-48 S-Trig cable from Synthesizers.com for the Gate ( with a Mono 1/4 to mono 1/8 adapter since the minibrute uses minijacks) and a ad infinitum cable for the pitch to control a 1976 MiniMoog. Works pretty well and sequences well from Ableton.
Being able to use hardware with a DAW opens things up.
also the sequence at the end is a NIN bassline from SIN. I did not adjust for for latency.

Expanders for Turing Machine Random Looping Sequencer
Two DIY expander modules for the RLS from Music Thing Modular. Pulses produces seven pulse outputs, related to the master clock and controlled by the main module. Voltages (with the faders) is an eight step sequencer where multiple steps can be active at once, creating very unpredictable patterns.
Patch details:
One pulse output is pulsing the white noise from the RLS module through a QMMG low pass gate, creating the kick drum sound at the start.
The two outputs (normal and inverted) from the voltages module are going into a A156 quantizer, then into two sizes of a DPO oscillator. Each time the note changes, the sine wave outputs are gated through the QMMG.
One more output from the pulse module is triggering the FM bus on the DPO, causing the bleeps and bloops.
