Amazona.de has announced the release of Tyrell N6, a free synthesizer instrument by Urs of U-He.
Just in time for Musikmesse 2011, we are very proud to present you the first AMAZONA.de synthesizer, TYRELL Nexus 6
TYRELL The N6 is not some additional synth plug-in, but a sound generator, which was jointly developed with readers and, ultimately, programmed by Urs Heckmann (mastermind of U-He).
Tyrell N6 is available as a free VST instrument plug-in for Windows and Mac.

rs-met has released updated versions of EasyQ and EngineersFilter, two free effect plug-ins for Windows.
after some beta testing and bugfixing (thx to all who participated), it’s now done. updated versions for EasyQ and EngineersFilter have been released. for EasyQ, it’s only a maintenence update with a little bugfix related to colorscheme handling.
EngineersFilter now includes two new approximation methods: Bessel and Papoulis. The Bessel design approximates a linear phase response in its passband and the Papoulis design achieves the maximum negative slope at the cutoff frequency when a monotonically decreasing magnitude response is assumed.
EasyQ and EngineersFilter are available as freeware VST plugins for Windows.

- BloXpander now detects missing audio interfaces and/or problems with your ASIO drivers on startup.
- Parameters names (LCD emulator) are now updated in the case of “macro” parameters.
- “Virtual pots” of the “main” MIDI controller are now updated on relevant changes from a plugin interface (MC mode only).
- Last called Subscene is now underlined.
- Volume fades out and in on ASIO restart to avoid audio clicks during some critical operations (only some specific audio interfaces were affected by this problem).
- BloXpander remembers Main and “LCD” windows positions.
- Adjusted threads priorities (resolves a rare issue -> audio clicks and pops on GUI operations)

The Colorspace has released Piky, a free synthesizer instrument plugin for Windows.
2 OSCs synthesizer, it’s a simple instrument based on the creation of pikes and plucks with extreme easiness.
Many times I need just a really simple pluck or pike, without the need of too much options so I decided to create an instrument only for that!
