Sir Elliot has announced the release of Studio Q (The Snob Equalizer), a free equalizer effect plug-in for Windows.
It is designed to offer very rich tone, which is common with hardware devices. As with all hardware devices the frequency response are not always flat and, Studio Q is no exception to the rule.
The Frequency Bands are as follows: 40 cps, 60 cps, 80 cps, 120 cps, 160 cps, 240 cps, 1000 kcps, 2450 kcps, 9000 kcps and, 13500 kcps.
Studio Q is available to download as a freeware VST effect plug-in for Windows PC.

New MOOG emulation
Xhun Audio has introduced LittleOne – a virtual emulation of the Moog Little Phatty analog synthesizer.
Description:
LittleOne emulates every component of the Little Phatty (oscillators, filter, envelopes, LFO …), preserving the original frequency responses and frequency ranges.
The result is an analog-sounding instrument – all in the digital domain. In addition to the Little Phatty synthesizer emulation, LittleOne encloses a full rack with a 16-step MIDI sequencer, a 16-step trancegate effect and two master effects slots.

Soundscaper II – free VST effect
Homegrown Sounds has released SoundScaper II, a free effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.
SoundScaper is versatile and great for comb effects, reverbs and endless delays. It is has been included in most of my synths over the last couple of years.
There are only a few presets at the moment, please feel free to send me some if you come up with any good ones.
There are lots of randomizers as usual to make using SoundScaper a fun and creative experience! It is not advisable to use the plug in any active projects yet as it may change before official release, but I’d love to hear some feedback especially from Mac users.
SoundScaper II beta is available as a freeware VST effect plug-in for PC and Mac (Intel).
H.G. Fortune releases Plutonia – best of all its free
H.G. Fortune has released Plutonia, a free VST instrument for Windows PC.
As I made wavesets as sf2 files available I did a small free VSTi synth so one might get an impression of the contents of the wavesets.
