Composed quickly with the Oberheim Xpander in multimode. Each OSC are played with different height of notes and controlled by the arpeggiator of the XK keyboard. The rest are played with the Roland MC 202.
Time for a break from the completion of the studio and here is a small piece of musical recreation!

The first of the OB series Oberheim synths, this is a classic analog synthesizer available in 4, 6 or 8 voice configurations. It featured a 2 pole VCF lowpass filter with its own ADSR, a VCA with ADSR, a flexible LFO section, polyphonic sample and hold, polyphonic portamento and 32 patches of memory. Although it has been over-shadowed by the bigger and more popular OB-Xa and OB-8 synths which offer more flexible programming, the OB-X still holds its own. Capable of lush analog synth sounds comparable to the Sequential Prophet 5 but at a reasonable price. The OB-X also gives you Polymod functionality, something that the OB-Xa and OB-8 do not have. This synth is definitely worth checking out.

This is an upgraded version of the Alpha Juno 1. It adds an extended 61 note keyboard with velocity and aftertouch and an external memory cartridge slot. Other than that it has the same great sound and features as the Juno 1. Sliders and buttons were replaced by membrane buttons and the Alpha Dial which is used to edit and browse through the extensive selection of parameters: DCO digitally controlled oscillators, LFO, bend, ENV, pulse, waveforms, noise, PW/PWM, high pass filter, VCF filter with freq/env/res/lfo/kybd, VCA envelope, chorus, and more.
Adequate in the studio or on the stage, the Juno 2 has 64 presets and 64 user memory patches, a nice LCD display, an LFO capable of a very slow rate for some cool sweeping effects, and a great bass sound (especially nice for acid basslines) and noise effects! It also has chord memory which is perfect for rave & techno, portamento and keyboard transposing. In the studio: Ableton liveset tryout
Ableton in action:
Trying to find a way to combine a couple of tracks and keep it as live as possible(without losing the plot). The control is stock Live and Automap, no Max4Live. Sounds are 50% standard Ableton and 50% sampled hardware (mostly Oberheim Matrix-1000). FX all standard Ableton except the free “King Dubby” plug-in used in the first track. My brain is the bottleneck. I just wish Novation would do a $500 version of the Launchpad with LCD buttons which could display text/color.
Nice Omega Code 8 Polyphonic demo – Arp 2600 and CS80 filters
Here’s some background information:
When I touch the big knob under the screen I’m changing the filter type or tweaking filter parameters for the CS80 filter. I picked up a fully loaded 4 month old Code 8 this week, with 8 Arp 2600 and 8 CS80 filters! I was up late last night playing it for hours….Sounds a bit like an Oberheim OBX. When you turn on all the waveforms it will saturate a bit, so it’s not super clean like everyone says.
