Korg MS-20, MS-50 dubs (featuring Korg Delta + SQ-10) – analog live jam
Live recorded analog jam with some Korgs; like MS20, MS50, Delta and SQ10 Sequencer. Everything is controlled by the SQ10. A 8-Step sequence on the SQ10 is triggered by a simple short rhythmic Midiloop in Ableton Live. Of course Ableton is also used for recording and processing the Audiosingals live. Some Effects where added and reprocessed while Rendering at the End
300 random presets for the DPO
300 random, 8-value presets, divided across three, 100-preset groups.
Same patch as the previous video (“DPO + iPad”), only the DPO is routed here through an Echophon for a very slight chorus delay.
Using an iPad, Touch OSC and Max/MSP to control a Make Noise DPO.
Signal path is DPO Final out –> A-132-3.
The “Fold” portion of the DPO’s timbre section is acting as a VCA for the module. The A-132-3 is acting as a panner, using two inverted outputs from the Dr. Octature to open its VCAs in a mirrored pattern.
This is a stereo patch– headphones are recommended.

Pollisynth for iPhone – Scan a picture, make a sound, share it

Mission: To more fully understand the colors that surround us we must engage an additional sense.
A Pollisynth takes a picture of something, and then translates that picture into a unique sound-wave. As stated above, in order to fully understand the colors that surround us we must engage an additional sense. A Pollisynth can be the gateway to your mindbrain, and can give you a good time doing it.
Remember that the spark to take a picture begins in the MIND, and funny enough, ends in the MIND once a song is made. There are a lot of ways to play with a Pollisynth – two people taking a picture of the same thing and then playing it, a gang of kids taking pictures of SLUSHIES and then making a harmonized song out of the soundwaves…
By logging into Facebook with Pollisynth you can post your sound-waves to your timeline as Presets. Your Facebook friends will be able to see and try out these Presets with their own Pollisynth and listen to your imagery. You can also re-download Presets you have uploaded and use Facebook as a Pollisynth sound bank online. For those who have reservations about Facebook, SMS and Email can be used to share images from your photo library that you know to generate worthy sounds. This works because the sounds are not random but entirely derived from the image, so rescanning an image will always result in the same sound so long as it hasn’t been manipulated. Your photo library will always serve as your offline sound bank.
Pollisynth was first developed by Thomas Ruby in 1987. After having passed away in 2006, Salisbury’s son, Jamie, continued his father’s work. As a company we stand by the Pollisynth and we stand by the Rubaic principles of Oneness, Honor, and Good Times.
Beatmaker 2 – Walkthrough
BEATSURFING – THE ORGANIC MIDI CONTROLLER BUILDER
It allows you to draw a 3-dimensional controller and use it in two different and complementary ways. You can tap it like you would with your regular MPC or any other beatmaking device, but the best and most innovative use you can make of it is definitely by surfing your fingers along routes, colliding with objects, triggering samples or effects. It’s all about movement, and bringing back this intuitive way to make music. It can control any MIDI-enabled device (Software, Hardware, or even selected iPad apps through Virtual MIDI), features a very intuitive in-app editing system and integrates seemlessly in any existing Studio or Live setup. Objects Behaviours can be set to link objects together and multiply the available commands on the surface of the iPad.

Using the Moog Minitaur with a x0xb0x (303 clone)
Switched On Music Electronics demonstrates the Moog’s new desktop bass synth the Minitaur interacting with a 303 clone, The x0xb0x. The x0xb0x is sequencing the Minitaur via midi, and also sending its audio through the filter of the Minitaur for a stack of thick textural bass.
