Snapdragon – modular synth ambient music

February 15, 2011 · Posted in Uncategorized · Comments Off on Snapdragon – modular synth ambient music

Apart from being a nice ambient video, here’s what they have to say about it:

4 melodies generated from Numerology software to a MOTM 650 MIDI-CV converter and selected with a DIY switcher. Mostly synthesizers.com system with Modcan VCDO and Digital Delay, MOTM 440 filter and MegaOhm Delta filter and Suit and Tie Guy Wavefolder. Music, including Drumaxx drums generated in real time, no edits or overdubs. Noisy sounds generated mostly by cross-FM’ing filters. This is my first HD video with new cameras and lights with some effects from Final Cut Pro all in a new bigger studio space. Thanks for watching!

Concretedog’s BLARP CMOS Synth

Here’s what he has to say about it:

A quick video of my new build “BLARP” a small portable perfboard based synth instrument built mainly using CMOS 4000 series IC’s.

Been working on this synth for a while and it’s finally finished. Its mainly made from CMOS 4000 IC’s and is designed to be portable and noisy! It’s a modular system and uses trimpots and header sockets instead of pots and patch cables, this has 2 benefits, cheapness and smallness. More information about the synth here.

bleep!BOX now available as a Windows and Mac VST plugin

December 21, 2010 · Posted in Uncategorized · Comments Off on bleep!BOX now available as a Windows and Mac VST plugin

bleep!BOX, the analogue synth/drum machine for iPhone/iPad, is now available as a Windows and Mac VST plugin.

Bleep!BOX is now one of only a few apps that run across iOS, OS/X and Windows. Now you can make music wherever inspiration strikes you and then load it up in the studio later for additional effects or arrangement.

bleep!BOX VST features patch compatibility with iPhone and iPad versions enabling users to use sounds they’ve made on the phone or tablet in their sequencer of choice. It also features full parameter automation, and the option to directly sequence any of bleep!BOX’s sound parts, which will let people create even more complex arrangements.

bleep!BOX allows users to arrange synthesizer melodies, program drum beats and edit dozens of parameters in real time. Unlike other music apps, bleep!BOX does not limit users with fixed sample sets or pre-made loops. Instead it uses only tweakable, analog-style sounds.

bleep!BOX VST is available to purchase for PC and Mac for $59.99 USD. The bleep!BOX iOS App is $9.99 USD. A 25% off coupon code for the VST is available to users of the iOS app.

u-he has released version alpha 0.4 of Bazille, a modular synthesizer plug-in within the Berlin Modular System.

Bazille is one of three main synthesizers currently planned for the Berlin Modular; Bazille (modular FM/PD synth), ACE XL (see ACE, but twice as many things), L.u.s.h. (lush u-he synth, supersaws, pads + formant filters).

Changes in Bazille 0.4 alpha
