Ambient Breaks from Bluezone Corporation is the ultimate collection to jump into professional production of Ambient soundtracks for film, video games, TV series and action. Ambient Breaks is a perfect mix of calm, refined pads reworked with rich, deep synth lines. This new sound bank pushes the limits of ambient sound and can be easily adapted to other styles such as Dubstep, Drum n Bass, Hip Hop, Nu Metal, Pop, Grime and Industrial.
The producers from Bluezone studios are pleased to announce Ambient Breaks. This sound library offers a balance between strong, hard sounds and refined sounds, to keep the finesse of Ambient and Chill Out. With more than 240 loops and samples, Ambient Breaks offers a multitude of possibilities.
This pack also includes an arsenal of drum loops, no-kick loops ( hi-EQ ), drums hits that provide a solid rhythmic basis. Add to this bass lines, synths, (fat synth loops, synthetic loops, infra bass loops and key loops ) as well as sound effects, synth sounds and layers. To make your job easier, all synth lines are in the same key, which means you have a huge kit with which to build your work from start to finish with rich and innovative sequences.
Like all Bluezone Corporation products, this pack is royalty-free and does not require any additional costs or permissions – it’s 100% ready to be used in your commecial productions.
Suitable for styles such as : Ambient, Soundtrack, Game & TV series, Breaks, Downtempo, Glitch, Pop, Dub, Dubstep, Grime, Drum and Bass, Industrial, Nu Metal, Hard Rocks, Chill Out, Lounge, Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Electronica, Jazz, Big Beat and Experimental.
SynthTronica – synth for iPad – Dynamic Multitouch Filter
Space here we come:
This video demonstrates SynthTronica, the spectral synth by Leisuresonic for the iPad. This episode showcases SynthTronica’s Dynamic Multitouch Filter, an expressive and innovative musical controller, for use in live performance, and for touch sound synthesis.
Synth Architecture
SynthTronica is a hybrid instrument; its synth engine combines characteristics of virtual analog synthesis and digital sampling. For most “traditional” synthesizers, sound evolution is controlled by parametric filters — combinations of VCFs and LFOs. Instead, SynthTronica uses time-varying filter data to provide spectral evolution; an instance of such data is called a “formant”. Formants can be created in several ways, through the iPad’s microphone, importing audio files, and capturing performances of SynthTronica’s multitouch filter. While formants are currently played in strict loops, the maximum formant duration is fairly large — just over 60 seconds — providing potential for significant, albeit prerecorded, variation. The benefit of formants lies with their generality. A formant can be made from sources as disparate and varied as Nord percussion, cellos, choirs, braying donkeys, or the chorus of Katy Perry’s latest single. The latter example is an interesting consideration: a formant can reflect much of the rhythmic and sometimes vocal characteristics of its source sound, while effectively obliterating its pitch. Pitch is instead provided by SynthTronica’s synthesizer front-end. When readily-discernible formant sources are used, SynthTronica provides a unique musical space that lies between the boundaries of pure sound synthesis and referential sampling. Formant synthesis is not explicit like sampling; you play through the Katy Perry groove as if it was your avatar. With SynthTronica, a performer needs to make pitch choices for any sound to be heard.
Multidelay effect tailored for ambient music
Xoxos has released Amboea VST plug-in for Windows which they tell us arranges eight filtered stereo delay lines in serial or parallel with algorithmic crossfading to create a multidelay effect tailored for ambient music.
Twenty algorithms allow the crossfading and filters to be applied before or after the delay lines with optional randomised modulation and pitchshifting. Xoxos says that one instance of Amboea can turn any sound into a dense, continuously varying soundscape, or be used as a straightforward multitap or parallel multidelay.
Pricing and Availability:
Amboea has an introductory price of $10 which will increase to $15

Snapdragon – modular synth ambient music
Apart from being a nice ambient video, here’s what they have to say about it:
4 melodies generated from Numerology software to a MOTM 650 MIDI-CV converter and selected with a DIY switcher. Mostly synthesizers.com system with Modcan VCDO and Digital Delay, MOTM 440 filter and MegaOhm Delta filter and Suit and Tie Guy Wavefolder. Music, including Drumaxx drums generated in real time, no edits or overdubs. Noisy sounds generated mostly by cross-FM’ing filters. This is my first HD video with new cameras and lights with some effects from Final Cut Pro all in a new bigger studio space. Thanks for watching!

Ambient, darkwave soundscape created entirely by the SynFactory
Pervading Omnipotent Manifolds of Expression
Pervading Omnipotent Manifolds of Expression is an ambient, darkwave soundscape created entirely by the SynFactory 1.15 modular software synthesizer. This amazing piece of software can be configured in an almost infinite combination of possibilities to produce modulating or sequenced waveforms as simple or complex as the composer wishes to create.
For this composition, the main sequenced lines were created by feeding the patterned 8-step sequencer into the FM inputs of a sinebank module (multiple sinewave oscillators for additive synthesis). The sequenced output from the sinebank was then fed into a ring-modulator unit and modulated by a sinewave. The output from the ring-modulator then fed twin delay units to produce the stereo delay output. It was by manipulating the controls of the sequencer module that produced the real-time variable output, recorded as a continuous waveform that could later be integrated into a multi-track recording structure. A 6.5-minute sequence was produced in this manner, and inserted into a multi-track recording session. Because the tempo bpm was unknown, a “tempo track” was created as a series of high-frequency bleeps (as a visual reference for timing). To this “tempo track” a rhythm track was created manually – by positioning snare and bass drum samples by precision editing in accordance to the visual reference of the “tempo track”.
To create rhythmic variety, the same manually-created rhythm track was ring-modulated by a 150 Hz sinewave, and positioned on the timeline to create an interesting rhythm combination. This first session was then mixed down to create the main sub-master mix to add further elements. A second session was created by introducing a pulsating dark ring-modulated sequence. Surreal chimes fade in and out (created by ring-modulated sequences subjected to extended delays), and “twinkle tones” add to the surreal quality (created on the Korg R3 synthesizer). Other added sequences include additional atonal melodic elements, and “shimmering” passages toward the conclusion of the composition. All these additional elements were then mixed together to create the final stereo master. The result is a darkwave-ambient piece of electronica, partially inspired by the feel in music as evident by the group Bauhaus.
The visuals comprise wide-screen modulating textures and patterns forming a background. Added to this were images of mannequins and science-fiction robots and other strange characters. The Autons from Doctor Who feature quite heavily. This visual composite was then used as the source to process multiple keyed versions of itself to create visual complexity. An outlined composite mix was also created, as well as several multi-coloured variations. Sections of all these variations were edited to the soundtrack. The result is a surreal wash of colours and textures to complement the strange ring-modulated tonalities created entirely by the amazing SynFactory 1.15 modular software synthesizer.
