123 Creative have released BigQ plugin
123 Creative, known for their Veldwerk synth, have released BigQ. It is a envelope follower/multifilter plugin. Cutoff (frequency) of the filter is controlled by the amplitude of the input signal. The louder you play, the more intensive the cutoff frequency of filter is modulated. Perfect for BASS guitar, Electric guitar and Drums.
Top features
– 4 selectable filters (low pass, high pass, band pass, peaking)
– Envelope follower module with attack and release knobs, which modulate filter´s cutoff frequency
– Envelope amount knob
– Input gain knob – louder is input signal more significantly is modulated filter frequency/cutoff
– Dry/Wet knob – set ratio between dry and wet (effected) signal
– Up/Down switch – cutoff frequency of filter can be modulated in negative or positive direction (up or down)
– Analog drive switch adds little bit of warm
– Bypass switch
Wife Expectancy – Featuring Drew Neumann, Marc St. Regis and the SE Boomstar SEM
Boomstar SEM Production Unit Demo.
Back to the raw power and purity of non-programmable discrete analog––where STUDIO ELECTRONICS started in 1985. The snap and punch of hardware envelopes drive the BOOMSTAR’s brilliant voltage controlled circuits with unparalleled sonic integrity and versatility. BOOMSTAR is the ultimate desktop analog synthesizer for those who remember and desire still, the electronic Analog sound that changed the world and for seekers who have yet to discover that magic and delight… in their time.
Four Models/Filter types: 4075-classic Arp 2600, 5089-classic Moog 24db ladder, SEM-classic Oberheim 12db, 303-classic Roland TB.
This All-American-Made music machine’s discrete voltage controlled analog oscillators, hand matched transistors in its filters and amplifiers and STUDIO ELECTRONICS’ typically expressive hardware programming features, fully realizes its name, with its earthy, grounded subs to its deep field sonic shimmers: BOOMSTAR!

Creating Gestural Sound Effects with the Intellijel Planar Module
Richard Devine setups this patch to work on a sound design project for a client, which needed unique transformer like power ups and electrical like swooshes.
“I borrowed the patch idea from another fellow sound designer friend Joseph Fraioli who came up with the original patch. I then took that and further added and tweaked a few things to adapt it to this project. The planar X/Y CV out is controlling the pitch of three different sound sources, intellijel cyclebox, and two intellijel Dixies. There is also multiple outs going to three different delay modules, Synthesis Technology E580, MakeNoise Echophon, and Doepfer BBD. This is just a short excerpt from that session of recordings.”
