Omnichord and analog waveshapers
Omnichord and analog waveshape performance by Lukas Ligeti on drums & glockenspiel and Miguel Frasconi on omnichord & analog waveshapers
I’m playing omnichord and analog waveshapers (see details below) with Lukas Ligeti on drums and glockenspiel.
More specifically, I’m playing an omnichord put through a Metasonix TM-1SE, into a Moog FM-102 ring-mod, into an Electro Harmonix Micro-POG, into a Pigtronics Echolution.”
Video Description:
“Ligeti & Frasconi @ The Tank.
Lukas Ligeti: drums & glockenspiel
Miguel Frasconi: omnichord & analog waveshapers.
December 8, 2010. NYC.Transcending the boundaries of genre, Lukas Ligeti has developed a musical style that draws upon downtown New York experimentalism, contemporary classical music, jazz, electronica, and world music. Known for his non-conformity and diverse interests, Lukas creates music ranging from the through-composed to the free-improvised, often exploring polyrhythmic/polytempo structures, non-tempered tunings, and non-western elements.
While best known for his menagerie of glass musical instruments, Miguel Frasconi has long explored the sonic possibilities of electronics. Tonight he will be using a combination of devices that enable tactile control over a vast array of electronic sounds. Frasconi is the director of Ne(x)tworks, one of NYC’s leading new music ensembles, and teaches at Bard College where he directs the Bard Laptop Orchestra (BLOrk).
bleep!BOX now available as a Windows and Mac VST plugin
bleep!BOX, the analogue synth/drum machine for iPhone/iPad, is now available as a Windows and Mac VST plugin.
Bleep!BOX is now one of only a few apps that run across iOS, OS/X and Windows. Now you can make music wherever inspiration strikes you and then load it up in the studio later for additional effects or arrangement.
bleep!BOX VST features patch compatibility with iPhone and iPad versions enabling users to use sounds they’ve made on the phone or tablet in their sequencer of choice. It also features full parameter automation, and the option to directly sequence any of bleep!BOX’s sound parts, which will let people create even more complex arrangements.
bleep!BOX allows users to arrange synthesizer melodies, program drum beats and edit dozens of parameters in real time. Unlike other music apps, bleep!BOX does not limit users with fixed sample sets or pre-made loops. Instead it uses only tweakable, analog-style sounds.
bleep!BOX VST is available to purchase for PC and Mac for $59.99 USD. The bleep!BOX iOS App is $9.99 USD. A 25% off coupon code for the VST is available to users of the iOS app.

Analog Labratory is now shipping
Arturia announces that Analog Laboratory is now shipping. The Analog Laboratory is an extremely powerful software synthesizer solution. It offers 3500 legendary classic synthesizer sounds with a unique interface to tweak them all as well as the ability to edit each of them in depth, in the original synthesizer. With the addition of 200 scenes organized by genres, including drum loops and advanced arpeggiation melodies, Analog Laboratory is likely to become the reference synth workstation.

o Full screen preset editing (for owners of Arturia Classic Analog recreations only): Analog Laboratory allows opening any other Arturia Classic Synth plugin for in depth patch edition in a separate window. It is also possible to assign any of the 4 key parameters of the Laboratory to one knob of choice inside the favourite software synthesizer.
o Scene mode: It allows to:
– Combine 2 synthesizer sounds over a MIDI keyboard in either split, layer or multi configuration.
– Assign melodic phrases based on advanced arpeggiation thanks to the library of 200 melodies organized by genres.
– Trigger Drum loops from the pads thanks to a library of 350 Rex files.
o Organize Presets view by Name, Instrument, Type, CPU usage, Favorites, or User Preset.
