Rheyne – Lemur Jam
Improv jam using Lemur on an iPad 2, with analog keyboards and USB controllers connected to Ableton Live. Lemur is wirelessly controlling effects on NI’s Massive (synth played on the M-Audio Oxygen 25) and NI’s Kontakt (drums played on the Akai MPD26). Pulselooper is a project of Andrew ZP, audiovisual producer and musician who uses as a tool for creation and composition Game Boys, old computers and other technologies vintage. Andrew ZP show how the few bits of an old game can turn into a musical instrument. With Game Boys (the classic Nintendo handheld game) and 80 years of old computers, is Pulselooper
electronic music full of beats and heavier bases and distorted than is usually drawn from a hi-fi art.
His electronic music made with vintage consoles has passed, among others, places like Campus Party 2010; GameMusic Festival, conducted by the Instituto Itau Cultural in Sao Paulo, the Continuum, I Festival of Art and Technology of Recife, the Animefriends in San Paulo and Rio FILE Hipersônica 09, where he shared the stage with artists that are reference style, like Bit Shifter, Covox, Sabrepulse and some of the biggest names in
chipmusic world.
His presentation at the meeting will focus on AVLAB chiptune or Chip Music, musical style synthesized in real time by video games and old computers. Aesthetic feature of the year 80, when these devices were one of the few digital tools for composition, still used by aficionados of tones in low definition.

Nebula brings real-time granular synthesis to the iPad
Nebula brings real-time granular synthesis to the iPad, including glissons and grainlets. Granulation can be performed on several prototypal waveforms (sines, triangles, squares, noise) and morphing can be applied between them.
It is possible to store presets and interpolate among them using a single finger through the gesture mode (activable by the provided button or simply by going to landscape mode). You can also save and load banks of presets and share them to your friends through iTunes, using the App page.
In the motion mode, it is possible to control some parameter of the synthesis in a physical manner by simply moving the iPad in your hands. Finally, all the produced sounds can be recorded and exported to your favourite platform: the recorded sounds will be found in iTunes under the App page.
The app is priced at $4.99.

The 960 sequencer is sending triggers to the trigger gate module. Row A of the trigger gate is making the bass drum, which is 2 VCOs going into the Cynthia low pass gate with some pitch modulation. Row B makes the snare drum, 3 oscillators and some noise, going into the Moog 905 reverb, 904 filter, using the 911 envelope (and the MXR Flanger/Doubler). The high hat is noise / envelope triggered from the main clock, but going into the SSL VC Delay module”
