This set of videos, via Carlos Serafini, capture a laid-back micronal synth jam on a hexagonal control keyboard, Autumnal Modulations.
I perform the “lead guitar” part of a portion of my tune while listening to the pre-recorded “bass” and drums parts and reading my transnotated score.

This song is based on the techniques presented with my recent articles: C central note layout version 2 and Transnotating Carlos Gamma.
This song is both the first one I compose employing extensive modulations (with Carlos Gamma tuning system) and the first one completely transnotated.
Transnotation allows me to analyze my own compositions. To demonstrate that, I have recorded 2 short movies where I perform the “lead guitar” part of portions of the original tune while listening to the pre-recorded “bass” and drums parts and reading my transnotated score (see below for more explanations).
This guitar sound by Spectrasonics Omnisphere has already been featured on many songs of mine. I love it!
Last sneak before the release of NastyDLA

Telemark and the Oberkorn sequencer
Analogue Solutions continues to treat us with nice demos, here’s one on how to connect a Tele-Mark Semi-modular synth to the sequencer:
HOW TO: Connect an Analogue Solutions Telemark Semi-Modular synthesizer (www.analoguesolutions.com) to an AS Oberkorn Analogue Sequencer.
This video covers basic connections from the Oberkorn sequencer to the Telemark synth (connecting: pitch x 2, filter, and EG/Trigger).
Another great feature of the Telemark is the integrated MIDI control, which can be used to transpose live sequences as they play back from the Oberkorn (shown in the video). This means that you can sequence the transposition via MIDI in your DAW of choice – control those analogue basslines!

Introducing the Supersonic Refill

In this refill (sound bank), which is compatible with Reason 4 and Reason 5, the user gets access to over 8,000 individual files, such as brand new samples of both digital and analog synthesizers, the entire Fairlight CMI IIx factory library (used with kind permission from Fairlight in Australia) as carefully sampled, re-sampled, edited and looped by Bitley, as well as each single drum sound from basically all (worthwile) drum machines ever made. Empire State Human – Search for Love
Irish electro-poppers Empire State Human have revealed details for a new album after releasing their new single “Search For Love”. The new LP, “The Art”, is slated for a 2011 release and will feature the new single, which came out yesterday. “Search For Love” is also the first new release since Sean Barron left the group in July.
It will feature the B-side “The Light” and “Genesis Apollo”, which will appear in the new album as part of a collection of bonus material. “The Art” will be the Dublin duo’s 14th release since they broke into the electro world with their debut “Pop Robot” in 2002. Since then, their electronic odyssey has seen them perform with Kratwerk’s Wolfgang Flur for last year’s album “Audio Gothic”.

So now my Monopoly owns a polyphonic midi-retrofit from CHD Elektroservis. 808 beat is done in Ableton. Theres a little delay on the sound because the sound you hear is the actual tape recording and plays a little slower then thza original sound. Not really special but I just wanted to show this monophonic midicontrolled polysynth.
Exploring the Pro-12
Ran Kirlian is messing with parameters on the Use-Audio Plugiator & Pro-12 plugin while running a sequence from Sonar. Delay effect comes from Pro-12, too. The Pro-12 is the first polyphonic and programmable synth to become popular also became an instant legend. The Pro-12 has all of its smooth analog sound and plenty of presets which were heard everywhere throughout the 80ies…
