Schaack Audio – new version – 2.0 of Transient Shaper

Schaack Audio has announced that version 2.0 of Transient Shaper is now ready to go. This update introduces both adjustable attack and release shapes as well as analog saturation.
Transient Shaper itself shapes dynamics using a trim two knobs. It’s easy and quick to use, but despite simplicity can manipulate scape ranges like either gates or compressors.
Version 2.0, which features analog saturation, three attack shapes and three release shapes is compatible with V1.11. Here’s a look at some main points.
- Makes your sound louder, gives it more expressiveness and more punch
- Ideal for individual or summed drums/percussions shaping
- Unique two-knob manipulation characteristics, not obtainable with any other type of gear
- Excellent Gate replacement (sounds smoother than a gate)
- Processed sound ranges from gate-like to compression-like
- Resizable GUI (minimized by clicking in top left corner)
- Low CPU Usage (typically less than 1% on half-decent systems)
- Windows VST (for Windows 98 or better)
- Apple OS X AU (Universal Binary for OS X 10.4.9 or better)
Subhuman synth – new update from de la Mancha
de la Manch announces updates to “subhuman,” a specialized double oscillator synth responsible for low down bass lines or sub-bass kicks and drops. A pitch envelope, contoured graphical envelopes and more than just envelopes have all been added.
subhuman is a specialized 2 Osc synth for creating powerful sub bass, either for low down basslines, or sub-bass kick drums and drops. subhuman has been updated to add a pitch envelope, contoured graphical envelopes, note-on sync, waveform display and oscillator phase. It also now has a pure sine oscillator for Osc1, which is generated by real-time math to avoid interpolation and give a pure signal
Subhuman now also features note-on sync, waveform display and oscillator phase. It uses a new pure sine oscillator for Osc1 that’s generated by real-time math. Add onto the pure sine waveform with Osc2 detuned and out of phase to fatten it up more.
key features
features
– 2 oscillators with independant volume, detune and phase

New release of E-MU's Emulator® >> X3
E-MU Systems announces the Emulator X3 Streaming Sampling Synthesizer, which offers both 32-bit and native 64-bit applications, multi-processor and multi-threading support. X3 also does away with the E-MU hardware lock, so feel free to defiantly hurl your dongle into the nearest body of water.
E-MU’s Emulator® X3 is the world’s most powerful and complete software sampling tool in the world, featuring E-MU’s new Xstream™ streaming sound engine with a up to 192kHz sampling and playback, 32-bit and 64-bit native applications for both Windows XP and Windows Vista, an arsenal of automated sampling/beat analysis/editing tools and almost unlimited sound manipulation that builds on E-MU’s 35 years of synthesis experience.
With Emulator X3, you reap the benefits of E-MU’s Xstream streaming sound engine with up to 192 kHz sampling and playback, a range of tools for analyzing and editing samples and beats and so much sound manipulation that the only limit is your imagination.
Also new in X3 is the Region Xplode Beat Slicer. This feature turns your drum recordings into MIDI files. Xplode takes a selected region, generates new voices and maps new regions to MIDI notes. TwistaLoop analyzes and exports a song’s Tempo Map. This allows users to synchronize rhythm tracks to performances recorded off a click.
Finally, the Xtractor is an audio manipulation tool new to X3 that cuts or boosts audio levels in regards to stereo positioning and frequency. It’s easy as pie to remove, isolate or pitch shift specific parts like vocal lines, basses and more. It also provides visual display for each instrument as to where it lies in stereo space.

Beware!! The new Toxic Biohazard is here (v4)
Toxic Biohazard is the 4th generation in the line of Toxic synthesizers. Toxic Bio distills the best features from the previous 3 versions to deliver our most concentrated Toxic ever. Beware!
Toxic Biohazard features a hybrid synthesis engine, combining the best of FM and Subtractive synthesis. With the addition of a warm, analog-modeled filter and set of built-in effects, the Toxic concept remains one of convenience, simplicity, and superb sound quality.
What’s new?
- Improved sound quality
- “Physical Envelopes” that allow you to model how sounds in real world decay & resonate etc…
- Integrated effects such as tube-like distortion, to warm stereo delay, reverb, flanger, and phaser.
- A hybrid synth engine combining FM and subtractive synthesis
- A complete rebuilt FM engine adding warmth
- Alias-free oscillators with low CPU consumptom
- An integrated simple sequencer (64 steps, which can be divided into two independent, 32 step modules to allow double-polyphonic patterns. Using our own “Smart Sequencer” technology, when a chord is played, the module defines that chord, and tunes the pattern accordingly.)

C64 VST
I have received quite a few questions on the recently posted C64 VST and if there is something similar that will run on a MAC, well there is (of course) I just think the other one had a somewhat more intuitive user interface and a little better sounding as well.
But for you all MAC and C64 lovers here is your alternative:
…and while you are at it why not download this little silly DJ MP3 app:
C=iao and have a great weekend

Not enough? Try the function for generating random presets!
AnaMark supports Micro Tuning. This means that even if your VST host doesn’t support alternative tunings, you can use whatever tuning you want.
My new EBM bass favourite VST :-D
Also used by Nitzer Ebb this VST really does the job
EGOkILLER uses a double-dose Phase Distortion Oscillator in place of the standard oscillator/filter set-up. It is a very powerful form of synthesis first seen in Casio’s CZ synths in the ’80’s. The PD Oscillators have a very full sound that gives this synth great character. It is designed for EBM/Industrial music but is versatile enough to be used anywhere.
EGOkILLERversion2 is the first of the Version 2 synths. Like the original it is based on a single Phase Distortion Oscillator. The new version features a dual High Pass – Low Pass filter set-up with resonance, as well as graphical envelopes for both modulation and VCA. The LFO is new and extra flexibility has been added to modulation routings. It also includes really fat Unison and an enhanced overdrive.
And make sure to look out for the new one, scheduled to be released soon
GODkILLERversion2 is a versatile V/A synth, laid out in a similar manner to EGOkILLERv2. It improves on the original with two oscillators with sync and Hard Sync. The mixable Low-pass and Band Reject Filters are carried over from the original. It also has two graphical ADSR envelopes and a comprehensive LFO featuring 16 different waveforms. Overdrive and LFO destinations can be controlled by a Modulation Wheel on a MIDI keyboard controller.
