Corsynth C101 Overview + FM
Corsynth is an small company from the Northwest of Spain dedicated to manufacture modules for analogue modular synthesizers.
The C101 OTA Lowpass filter is a four pole low pass filter ( 24db/octave ) based on four cascade OTA-stages. The design is similar to the one found in classic synthesizers like Roland System 700, Roland System 100m, Roland SH-1, SH-7, SH-101, Roland Jupiter 8, Jen SX1000 and many more.
When the Resonance control is set at a high value the filter will start to oscillate and the C101 can be used as a sine wave VCO. The filter will track perfectly over at least 5-6 octaves and is also temperature compensated.
In many 4-pole low pass filters the output volume drastically drops when the resonance is increased. The C101 OTA Lowpass filter is specially designed to maintain a constant output level at any resonance value ( with the exception of when the filter is set to auto-oscillation ).
Another important feature is that the C101 has voltage controlled resonance.

Simple and basic, but serves its purpose

SoundMashine is a granular synthesis based sound sampling and sequencing instrument.
Fully utilising touch gestures to provide a fast and easy to use compositional tool. The app records sound using the devices built-in microphone, then divides the sound into slices which are then automatically assigned to each of the 16 screen tiles. Each tile has its own set of parameters allowing you to adjust window size, playback rate, pitch, feedback, delay and delay modulation, all of which are easily set by the swipe of a finger. Each parameter listed can also be randomised between a set of assignable values. Using the sequencer function patterns of tiles can be recorded and played back at different speeds, again using simple touch gestures.
With its flexibility for working with sound at different pitches, rates and sequencer speeds, SoundMashine lends itself well to a variety of compositional paradigms, from beat based through to drone or noise based music forms.
Combines the synthesis power of Addictive Synth with an easy to use 4 track loop recorder. It was never so easy to create beautiful sounds and driving loops.
The unique dynamic wavetable synthesis allows you to explore an unprecedented wide range of sonic territory. From acid loops, crystal clear percussions, realistic human choirs to complex musical soundscapes nothing seems impossible with only a handful parameters to tweak.

Trying to find a way to combine a couple of tracks and keep it as live as possible(without losing the plot). The control is stock Live and Automap, no Max4Live. Sounds are 50% standard Ableton and 50% sampled hardware (mostly Oberheim Matrix-1000). FX all standard Ableton except the free “King Dubby” plug-in used in the first track. My brain is the bottleneck. I just wish Novation would do a $500 version of the Launchpad with LCD buttons which could display text/color.

Realism vs mixability

With this in mind Soundcells processed all DSP generated percussion coming from Korg´s Wavedrum Oriental in such a way that the sounds will always sit conveniently in your mixes. Their impact and power will never get lost. Another point that needs to be highlighted is this special stereo knob coming with lots of combinators that works wonders for the mixability of our loops. This module was only available for about a year then discontinued so it is quite rare.
