Download a new free granulator effect unit
Argotlunar 2, a realtime granulator effect for Mac, PC & Linux, is available now as a free download.
Argotlunar breaks up an incoming audio stream into short samples (Grains). Each grain can have random settings of amplitude, panning, duration, delay, pitch, glissando, filter and envelope. The output of all grains is mixed and sent to the main output. The main output can be fed back into the main input.
Time-related parameters can be synced to the host tempo, for rhythmic or pulsing textures. Pitch-related parameters can be quantized for harmonic or melodic effects. Feedback can create chaotic and distorted sounds.
G-Sonique Releases new GXSL4070 Parametric EQ
G-Sonique has released the new GSXL4070 parametric equalizer , inspired by and based on “famous British mix console equalizers.” Keep it clean with the new GSXL4070 parametric EQ from G-Sonique. A VST plugin that is PC-only for now and available for 28 Euro ($36.85 at today’s exchange rates), the GSXL4070 offers modern, solid state analog electronics sound without any unwanted/oversaturated coloring of signal (such as with vacuum tube or vintage EQs).
A VST plugin that is PC-only for now and available for 28 Euro ($36.85 at today’s exchange rates), the GSXL4070 offers modern, solid state analog electronics sound without any unwanted/oversaturated coloring of signal (such as with vacuum tube or vintage EQs). The result is a very intensive, rich and significant sound, according to G-Sonique. df
Ideal for mixing and mastering purpose, GSXL4070 is a fully parametric stereo equalizer with four bands (LF, LMF, HMF, HF) and HP (BASS CUT), Q control, and +-12db attenuation/boosting of every band.
For best possible clarity of sound and minimum artifacts, 2X internal oversampling algorithms were used.
Notable features:
– British mix-console EQ “solid state electronics” style of sound without unwanted over-colored or over saturated sound. With 2X internal oversampling for double precision dsp algorithms calculations and minimum of unwanted artifacts.
– 4 fully parametric EQ bands:
LF – Low frequency, (20-500Hz)
LMF – Low mid frequency, (200 Hz – 3 kHz)
HMF – high mid frequency, (700 Hz – 12 kHz)
HF – high frequency ( 1.5 kHz – 20 kHz)
HP (High pass – Bass cut) filter 15 – 400 Hz bass cut with on/off switch with Q-control (bandwidth), attenuation/boost ( + / – 12db per band),
– Output Volume knob
– Bypass switch
– Preset manager
The LFO 2.0 for Ableton Live announced …
If you already bought the LFO 1.x, v2.0 will be FREE for you.
It will be available here: http://designthemedia.com/lfo
One year ago, it was the first efficient LFO officially supported (by us) for Ableton Live and it has a been liked & used by a lot of people.
With LFO 2.0, you can modulate each parameters of your liveset in real time.
You only have to drop it in a MIDI track, click on a button then click on the parameter you want to modulate and it works.
You can use built-in waveforms or even draw your custom one.
You can use the LFO 2.0 synced with the Live’s transport, or totally free by setting up the frequency.
Features :
– modulation of ALL parameters including tracks’ volume, panning & sends
– free or synced to transport
– classic waveforms (sine, ramp up, ramp down, saw, square, noise)
– custom waveform available with the whiteboard to draw it with your mouse
– presets & liveset friendly (all saved with liveset & presets)
– undo history safe
– LFO can control LFO to produce rich and complex modulations
– MIDI thru compliant (you can use it directly in your MIDI instrument track)
– GUI remixed
– all LFO2.0 parameters auto mappable to APC40
Requirements :
– Ableton Live 8.2.x

Two new videos of AtomoSynth’s KOE plexi glass synth
“Hello this is the Koe mini modular, this time making some percussive and weird sounds.
KOE synth voice and KONEKO midi to CV eurorack modules.”
“Hello, this is the Koe desktop mini modular from AtomoSynth, showing some bass and lead sounds.
Koe synth voice eurorack module and Koneko midi to CV interface module. UMX61 midi controller.”
Background info:
This is the KOE module, it is japanese for “voice” because it is a complete synth voice in just one affordable module, it is 28 HP width and needs +/- 12V power.
Main features:
One VCO with square and ramp wavefoms with depth and tune controls, tune control is a ten turn potentiometer which allows you easily set octave, tune and fine tune with
just one knob.
Noise sourse, it can be set to affect the VCO frequency or it can be mixed with the VCO and audio input.
One LFO with square and triangle waveforms is can be set to affect the VCO frequency or the Filter cut off, it also features an output jack.
High pass and Low pass vactrol based filter with cutoff and resonance/peak control, it also features an input jack to control the cut off frequency.
Two Envelope generators: EG1 with decay control which is set to affect the cut off frequency of the filter and EG2 with attack and release controls, set to affect the volume, it has an output jack and input jack for the incoming gate signal.
Also it features an audio input, it allows process any axternal audio signal with the filter and envelopes.

Nice demo featuring the Korg MS-20 and an Empress VM Superdelay
The superdelay is on the “tape” setting the entire time. No other effects are applied. The Vintage Modified superdelay is based on a superdelay with some modifications to the tape modes. The Vintage setting has some added modulation and the Old mode has had some high end rolled off a bit with the same modulation and some grit added to reproduce the sound of worn heads and dirty tape on your tape delay. The Vintage Modified Superdelay still has all the rest of the features and delays as the original.

Nice new free phaser effect plugin – Phazor
Adam Szabo has released Phazor, a is a free phaser effect plugin for Windows.
Phazor is a free effect plugin, which emulates the phaser effect found in the Virus synthesizers, which helped make its characteristic sound. A lot of time was devoted to make it sound very close to the original and every control has been carefully adjusted to behave just like the phaser from the Virus.
It has selectable 1 to 6 stage all-pass filters controlled by an LFO, with spread and feedback controls. The plugin is highly optimized and its CPU usage is minimal, allowing for multiple instances to be used in a project.
Phazor is avaialble to download as a freeware VST effect plugin for Windows.
This is a comparison video of the phaser from the Virus and Phazor. Phazor is made with SynthMaker and it does not support Mac or 64-bit. SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR A MAC AND 64-BIT VERSION! Download: www.adamszabo.com
CEM Filter and Modcan 54B Sequencer demo
This is a quickie demo of the Modcan CEM Low Pass Filter, model 29A. The video was shot under bad lighting conditions that QuickTime had trouble compensating for. Sorry about the image quality, but it is, after all, more about the sound 😉
Dual VDO provides the input sound, cutoff, resonance, vc of resonance and self-resonance, and the difference between 0 and -12dB modes are shown/heard.
Primarily intended for the audience at Muff Wiggler forum.

“Scratchy” – Noise & Rhythm Generator
Scratchy is a standalone piece of software that produces noise. This noise can be manipulated by a tempo-synced Gating effect (at various degrees of note length) and by a Cutoff control to adjust the pitch. The result is something akin to scratching.
Other effects include Delay, Reverb, Bit Crusher and Comb Filter.
Controlled by a custom layout for TouchOSC for iPad – £2.99 from App Store http://goo.gl/xL714
The music used in this video is ‘Quantum Lock’ by Pete Di-Murro: http://soundcloud.com/mooyon/quantum-lock
Scratchy and the control templates for iPad and iPhone are coming soon as a free download from http://digitaldjtools.net. Check the website or Twitter / G+ / Facebook feeds for updates.
