Side-Line Music Awards – the results
Side-Line Music Awards are now ready, each year Side-Line nominates the best songs, bands and acts in the electro, synth, EBM etc space and now the final results are here, as voted by the Side-Line readers. And it seems Recoil got a fair share of the prices
The results of the Side-Line Music Awards 2010 are in. Yes, it did take us a few days more than we had originally planned. But then again, we never imagined getting stuck in London and Brussels the past week due to the unexpected harsh winter conditions circling over Europe. We spent the last two days counting the votes and deleting the invalid ones. But before we give the results, we really want to thank all those readers who have cast their votes in the past two election rounds. You were among the 39,203 people (!!) to have cast a valid vote. That is an all-time record for Side-Line.

After 17 years LPF12 re-releases Bacterial as a free download
Amazing 17 years after it’s original release on tape and on time with x-mas LPF12s album “Bacterial” is re-released as free download.
“Bacterial” is one of 9 tapes that Sascha Lemon released between 1993 and 1995 on various labels. Because of their complex and brute force-sound the LPF12-tapes are still much sought after by fans of acts like Mentallo & The Fixer or DIVE. It’s time for some deep old school dark electro! Enjoy!
Download “Bacterial” now for free and in various formats like FLAC or 320 kbit mp3 at lpf12.bandcamp.com, archive.org or last.fm.

Christmas Card from Jon Johnson
Greetings from electro performer Jon Johnson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOhFTZl5Q2w
Back in 2002 I was asked to compose and perform a Christmas themed piece of music in a more modern Electronic, Chillout type composition. The music of this video is a slightly modified and beefed up mix of that piece interfaced with pics from the Holiday Greetings from Karma Labs OASYS user forum and a few of it’s members greetings. the music in no way is related to Karma or the Korg OASYS. I thought I would include them for some backround gazing however this video is more about the music after all. The music was recorded and performed using Propellerhead’s Reason. All music was played in realtime when possible. A couple familiar Yuletide themes are played here and there in the music with several soundbites. Enjoy!
